I purchased this camera system to go on my older model truck and a RV travel trailer. It is the perfect product for me, it was easy and quick to install and works perfectly. The cameras have strong magnet mounts. I have driven on some rough roads and the cameras did not move at all. The screen image is excellent. The cameras synced with the screen unit the first time right out of the box. Switching between screens is super easy while driving or you can select a split screen imagine. The distance from the rear of my RV to the dash board of my truck is over 40 feet. This was a concern I had before I made my purchase. The signal from the RV camera is excellent, I have not had any problems while driving or parking the RV. The installation of the Auto-Vox Solar Backup Camera system has made my RV trips easier and safer. The system has allowed me to back the RV into some tight parking spots which is a major deal for me. When I am pulling the RV now I can see behind me, which make changing lanes much safer and less stressful. The Auto-Vox Solar Backup Camera system is a top value for the price, I strongly recommend this product.

Wow, this dual-camera setup is a total game-changer for my truck and trailer. Popped open the box and was happy to see everything was in there: both cameras, all the cables, instructions that actually make sense, and all the gear to mount them. Getting it installed was super easy. No joke, I had the main camera on my truck and the second one slapped onto my trailer in minutes. No drilling, no messing with wires. The best part is having one camera stay on the truck and being able to move the other one around to whatever I'm towing. So convenient. But man, the performance is where it's at. The big 7.2” screen is awesome and super clear, and the 1080P picture is crisp, even at night. What really blew my mind, though, is the latency. Or lack of it! I posted a video with this review showing it next to my wife's car's built-in backup camera, since my truck doesn't have one, and you can see there's ZERO lag. It's just as fast and responsive, which is a huge deal when you're trying to back up something big. And the little things are great too. Battery life is amazing, and they charge up really fast. The magnet is STRONG. The solar panels are awesome for keeping them juiced up so I don't have to mess with them much. The signal has been solid the whole time, even with my big trailer, no dropouts at all. Plus it has DVR recording, which is a nice little bonus for extra security. Honestly, I can't recommend this thing enough. If you tow anything or just want a killer backup camera system, this is the one. It's made my life way easier and a lot less stressful. Just buy it!

This is a genius invention with solar recharge and wireless video transmission. When you are towing a trailer, it is nearly impossible to run a cable all the way to the back. I installed the smaller camera on my front plate so that I can see any object in front that is blocked by the hood, and the bigger magnetic camera on the trailer for a clear video view. The magnet is strong and will stick to the trailer like super glue. The best part? I don’t have to drill anything to install the back camera. This is small investment for convenience and safety. I no longer need a second person guiding me when backing up a trailer. It is convenient, easy to use and works every time I fire it up. This is my 4th Auto-Vox camera. None of them have failed since I owned them. They are built tough and withstood the Northern California heat.

Overall, this product works exactly as advertised. I've used it twice, now, on my 12' cargo trailer on long road trips, and it hasn't given me a lick of trouble. I just slap the camera onto the back of the trailer and power-up the monitor, and I instantly get a picture -- no fooling around with syncing or pairing, it just works. Both times I've used it, I've had the camera fully charged before use, so I can't exactly speak on how well the built-in solar charger works. But I can say that on both the 3-hour trip in full sun, as well as the 1-hour trip in cloudy weather, the battery showed to still be fully charged when I reached my destination -- that tells me the built-in solar charger provides enough power to run the camera without the internal battery having to get involved (much). I had to knock off one star, though, for two reasons: 1) The 7.2" wide screen looks nifty, but its aspect doesn't match that of the camera, so the image is actually stretched laterally. It's not terrible, and maybe other people won't even notice. This just means that the wide screen doesn't really give you a wide view, it's just a novelty with no real value. This is really only a problem if you choose the single-camera version -- I bet the two-camera version works great side-by-side on the wide screen. Also, the 7.2" wide screen version does not come with a suction cup mount like the 5", only a mounting plate with an adhesive strip on the bottom, so if you don't intend to mount the display permanently, it could be a challenge to find a place for it to sit where it won't fall or slide off. 2) The camera is supposed to be water resistant. However, after my second trip through some light rain, I noticed a sloshing sound when I removed the camera from the back of my trailer -- it had water inside! I panicked and quickly disassembled it (warm up the rubber pad on the back so it peels up easily, revealing four small screws) so I could drain the water. I was so ready to leave a scathing review on how a product meant to be used outdoors could allow water ingress... but then I noticed that the interior was potted (see photos). So even though some water had gotten inside, it couldn't affect the electronics. Nice! However, they should have included weep holes in the bottom of the enclosure to allow this water to drain out more easily. Overall, it's a good product and a fair value, but if you choose the single-camera kit, then I'd recommend going with the 5" version, since that one uses a suction cup mount and the 7.2" wide screen is just a novelty with no real benefit.

Very easy to setup and run, great image with no lag. The only downside I have found is the obvious risk of leaving the camera unattended on the vehicle, its quite big and can be easily seen which means it could very easily be stolen.

We Fitted The Camera To The Rear Of Our Large Motorhome As We Are Very Unimpressed By The Manufacturer's Rear View Camera Being Solar Powered The Camera Is Wireless & Takes Just A Few Minutes To Fit. Opting For The 7" Monitor Version (Which Needs A Power Supply) The Image Quality Is Superb. Field Of View & Colour Definition is Fantastic The Monitor Also Loop Records In The Same Way A Dash Cam Does & For This Reason & For Peace Of Mind Monitoring Traffic Behind Us, We Selected the Never Off (System Permanently Switched On) setting Following A 600 Mile Trip To Scotland We Were Incredibly Pleased To Note The Camera Stayed On Presumably Being Suitably Charged With The Integral Solar Panel! (You do also receive a USB charging lead) In conclusion This Is A Great Camera At A Fraction of The Price Of A Dealer Fit Version Only Slight Negative Is The Monitor Is Supplied With A 12v Cigarette Plug & I Would Personally Have Preferred A USB Plug ......

Très bon produit, parfaitement adapté à une utilisation sur remorque ou camping-car. Installation en 1 minute chrono grâce au système magnétique — pas besoin de perçage ni de câblage. Autonomie complète de la caméra grâce à l’alimentation solaire : pas de souci de recharge. Image de qualité sur l’écran 5" (1080P), même à bonne distance. La portée sans fil est excellente, stable même au-delà de 20 mètres. Seul point à noter : l’écran doit être alimenté par prise allume-cigare / USB, donc pas totalement autonome, mais rien de bloquant. Très satisfait, je recommande sans hésiter pour une solution mobile, pratique et fiable.

Nach einigen Vergleichen habe ich mich für das Auto-Vox Solar 5 Rückfahrkamerasystem mit 2 Kameras entschieden – und ich könnte nicht zufriedener sein. Schon beim Auspacken fällt die hochwertige Verarbeitung aller Komponenten auf. Alles wirkt robust, passgenau und langlebig – genau das, was man sich für den problemlosen Einsatz im Urlaub wünscht. Die Installation ist ein echtes Highlight: Kameras anbringen, Monitor platzieren, einschalten – fertig! Kein umständliches Kabelverlegen, kein Werkstattbesuch, kein Stress. In wenigen Minuten war das System betriebsbereit. Die Funkreichweite ist beeindruckend. Selbst bei meinem langen Wohnwagengespann bleibt das Bild absolut stabil und ohne Verzögerungen – perfekt zum Rangieren und auch während der Fahrt. Besonders praktisch: Der Monitor lässt sich dauerhaft eingeschalten. So nutze ich ihn wie einen digitalen Rückspiegel und habe ales hinter meinen Wohnwagen im Blick. Das Bild ist klar und detailreich, auch bei schwierigen Lichtverhältnissen. Der große Monitor bietet eine sehr gute Übersicht, auch wenn man dafür etwas Platz auf dem Armaturenbrett einplanen sollte – für mich ein lohnender Kompromiss. Zur Akkulaufzeit kann ich nach kurzer Nutzung noch nichts Endgültiges sagen, der erste längere Urlaub wird es zeigen. Bisher jedoch läuft alles reibungslos. Da dies bereits mein drittes Produkt von Auto-Vox ist und alle Geräte bisher ohne Probleme arbeiten, kann ich auch dieses Set uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Für alle, die eine zuverlässige, einfach zu installierende und qualitativ hochwertige Rückfahrkamera suchen, ist das Solar 5 Set die perfekte Wahl!
