Purchased as a gift for a friend. She hasn't mentioned it, so I'm guessing she uses it on occasion without issue. I have one, I use it, I love it. Nevermind the box filler items that come along with it. What's really important is the sealer, it's battery, and a charging cable. The lids are cheap and really not meant for more than one time use. All a person really needs is the main unit, it's internal rechargeable battery and a charging cable. For the price, this is perfect. If you're looking at getting one of these jar vacuum sealers, this one is just as good as the expensive ones! It seals both pint and quart jars and will fit over Ball brand canning lids. * Don't use it for liquids, or anything that can be sucked up into the pump (ask me how I know... lol). But, for dry goods, nuts, brown sugar, etc. this mason jar sealer will work beautifully. Get the function without the higher price tag. This one has a good battery life, simple to use, and costs less than the next one that does the same exact thing. They're all disposable - the internal rechargeable battery isn't replaceable, but I've gotten two years out of mine so far so good!

Easy to use and seals well. I purchase a lot of bulk foods and this is perfect to help them last longer. An example: I bought the 4 pack of brownie mix and each individual bag contains the amount the fits perfectly into a quart mason jar, you just need to use a spoon to compress the mix down a little so it is an inch below the lid level. I’ve had a few of those plastic bags get stale before so sealing them into glass jars fixed that problem so the shelf life is a lot longer. I purchased 1/2 gallon mason jars and store flour and things like stuffing mix, anything dry that comes in larger bags or cardboard containers that you want to stay fresh longer in your pantry. I’ve read several reviews where people also use the sealer for fresh fruits, vegetables and leftovers to keep in the refrigerator, they say it stays fresh much longer. I have not tried that yet but will eventually I’m sure.

I was a bit skeptical about this vacuum sealer. I figured it was cheap enough to give it a shot. My kids love fresh fruit, but sometimes it’s hard to eat it all before it goes bad. I bought a couple lbs of strawberries and decided to test it out. I washed the berries and trimmed the stems off before putting them in a 1/2 gallon mason jar. We are about 1/2 of the berries before we left for a week to go on vacation. I sealed the berries up and out them in the back of the fridge. I was expecting to come back home to rotten berries. Much to my surprise they were still nice and fresh. They made it another few days before we opened up the jar and ate the rest of them. I have also started putting things like bulk spices, bread crumbs, cornmeal, oatmeal, etc in jars and sealing them. This has been working great to keep the dry goods nice and fresh. The battery holds a good charge and is easily recharged with a usb-c.

This is the best little device ever!! It works so well. I love it. I put left overs in a mason jar, put on the lid, seal it and it keeps for many days. I like mushrooms in my salad but they don’t keep well. I put them in a mason jar, seal it and it’s fresh for a whole week. Love love love it. The lids are re-usable. I just pop them off with my fingers or use the device they gave me but I like using my fingernails under the lip and breaking the seal cause that does not damage the lid and I can reuse it. I made chili yesterday. I live alone and food goes to waste if I’m not careful. I put the chile in pint mason jars, sealed and what I don’t eat I can freeze. It’s really great for keeping you lettuce fresh. I have a half gallon mason jar that I put my lettuce in and it’s fresh for a good 7 days…can’t say exactly but longer than a covered bowl. Just make sure you wipe the rim of the jar and make sure the lid is clean and dry.

Works great. I have a Food Saver which i use daily for bags and it has the ability to seal small and large mouth jars but it is a bit cumbersome. This is much easier, straight forward and works great. It takes somewhere in the area of 60-75 seconds and shuts off automatically so it's not like you have to stand and watch it or hold on to it while it seals. It was a good purchase for a fair price.
