Ninja Luxe Café Premier 3-in-1 Espresso Machine, Drip Coffee, & Cold Brew

This machine is a dream to use, maintain, and clean. Its so quiet, even in the wee hours of the night frothing away. I have to refill the water in it daily, but that's just from using it constantly! I love it. The water hardness test is definitely a selling point as well, to make maintenance easier in the future. I use purified water from the Primo dispensers at the grocery store with a hardness scale of 0. Take care of the beauty, and it will take care of all of your caffeinated needs!

The Ninja Luxe Cafe was supposed to be a replacement to my Breville Barista Express, priced at the same $500. Initially I was able to get past the worse build quality and “beginner-friendly” features, but after further use I just cannot keep using it. Here is a list of dealbreakers for me: - The machine only allows one task at a time; I cannot grind beans while purging the group head or steam wand, for example. This is a huge dealbreaker if you plan to make coffee for more than yourself. - The overflow tray fills up crazy fast. I find myself having to empty it after making 2-3 lattes. Crazy! - No water spout. On the Breville I used this feature to make Americanos and instant tea, so this was a big letdown. - Manual frothing is terrible. You are required to hold down a button for three seconds to activate the steamer ONLY when it is in the out position! I should have full control over this and it seems petty that the machine requires the wand to stick out while manually frothing. - No single shot options due to locked in basket size. - Takes ages to begin a shot or start frothing milk.

This machine is awesome!! Now, I was looking for a way to not have to purchase iced coffee all the time from a coffee shop. So I set aside the $25/week i was spending on coffee and started out by getting the Dorothy cold brew machine. Coffee was ready in 25 min and it was a $15 machine. While I used that I saved for the Ninja. I got the Ninja at the end of August and I love it! My husband drinks hot coffee and I do the iced. I love that it has a recipe book. The key to making a good iced coffee is setting the grind size at 25, the largest it can go, then run a quick 6oz cycle of hot coffee with just water, to rinse machine before, then make your coffee, then run another rinse cycle. Also, make sure you keep up on cleaning the grinder and run clean cycles with the tabs. It took me a month or so to really dial my drink in, but it has saved me from purchasing coffee from starbucks and so it has done what I want it to. If your drink isn’t tasting exactly like you want it to, you have to do some experimenting. It’s most likely not the machine, it’s you doing something wrong. I also love the cold foam consistency! My friend purchased a Breville and it cannot do cold foam or iced coffee, and she spent a couple hundred dollars more than I did for this one. If you are debating, just get it! It’s worth it!

So far it's been perfect. Still figuring out all the features, but I really like it. I replaced really nice Vertuo machine that I had for years, I just wanted more from my machine. The automation is great, and my wife loves not going to a coffee shop for a good iced latte. I learned, don't tamp too hard, and that's about it. The materials of the machine are solid, the grind is perfect (I have a very expensive burr grinder for pour over and French press) and the pull is great for a sub 1,000 dollar machine. Plus it looks great on the counter and the size isn't killing my counter space. Overall, I love it and I look forward to learning how to use all the features

This is a wonderful machine. My only problem is that I bought it one month too soon it is now $100 cheaper than what I paid. However the machine is awesome.

Awesome machine

Beautifully constructed machine and after daily use for the last 8 months it has not had any problems.

So far this is my newest favorite appliance in the house the coffee is so rich and so good. Easy to operate.
