Deni 6000 Ice Crusher

Deni 6000 Ice Crusher I purchased the Deni 6000 ice crusher because my new refrigerator didn't come with one. I didn't want to pay a lot, because how often do you really need crushed ice? The is a great little ice crusher, especially for the price! It produces a nice, uniform particle size perfect for drinks or snow cones. It's the perfect size, too.

Been using Ice Crushers/Shavers for years due to a medical condition. Many of them used to last me 6 months to a year, but lately even the quality ones have less quality parts and have only been lasting 3-6 weeks. SO I thot I would try a Deni since I have seen them for years and haven't tried them. I was shocked after using fairly good quality ice shavers (that make it like snow) it didn't work when I plugged it in. Then I realized I could only put in one cube of ice at a time... then it like split up a cube of ice into like 8 parts... not like snow at all, or even shaved ice. I had to get a refund with in 10 minutes of it arriving at my door I was so shocked at the poor quality.... To a recent reviewer who used this one after using a hand cranked one, the Deni might have seemed nice in comparison to hand cranking, but I suggest you try a Hawwiaan (?) Ice variety of machines, you might REALLY be pleased... unless you use them everyday then they won't last a very long time, but they do make good ice.

Not very sturdy, and rather small capacity for making ice. Somewhat difficult to clean, but effectively & efficiently makes crushed ice

This product worked great although you can only place a few cubes in it at a time. That didn't bother me though because I normally only crush about a cup of ice at a time. My problem with it was that I am such a crushed ice junkie until I wore the thing out and after about a year a piece inside broke off and it no longer crushed the ice. I won't blame this on the product since I managed to break the ice crusher that I bought before I bought this one. I constantly crush ice (anemia) so I eat lots of it and if you need to crush ice several times a day, you may need something a lil stronger if you want it to last more than a year.

This thing works great! Yea it's noisy. But it's crusing ICE (try chewing up a piece of ice with your fingers in your ears and you'll get the idea). It's good for small batches: one full bin can make 3-4 martinis. This ice is also wonderful in Coke!

I bought a new refrigerator and after installation found that it only produced ice CUBES - not crushed ice. I love the refrigerator, so looked online for an ice crusher. Although I wanted a black Deni Ice Crusher, white one was the only color available at the time. The ice crusher was put to work immediately upon receiving it, and I love it. The crushed ice is better than what a refrigerator ice crusher could deliver.

It has a very weak motor. If I put more than 3 cubes of ice, it'll stop, until I take some ice out of it, it runs. The ice come out are big pieces, no good!

I like the machine. I've had company that loves the crushed ice but it is a bit small. If your going to be entertaining I would spent a few more dollars and get a larger one. This one is makes small batches and it does not take to many pieces of ice at one time.
