SUSTEAS 2L/68oz Glass Pitcher with Lid and Handle,Carafe for Hot/Cold Water

A lot of the pitchers you see, even glass ones, have cautions about water temperature. This one works great for either hot or cold water, allowing me to brew iced tea in it, and as a nice bonus, it fits in the door shelf in my refrigerator. This is the 68 oz. one I'm referring to, regarding the size. The nicely shaped handle and the lid with a rubber gasket make pouring from the pitcher easy with no drips. The shape of the pitcher gives added stability, as it's bigger on the bottom. Very good buy, especially for the price.

This piture that I ordered for iced tea is sleek and elegant. The lid has a strainer on one side for when you use looseleaf tea,and an opening for pouring withoutobstruction. I am very happy about this purchase. A good quality piece, lightweight yet sturdy. Something I would proudly put on my patio table when serving friends.

Love these !!!! Iced tea and lemonade never look so good! I love this picture. It’s great and I can make hot tea in it as well. The lid fits firmly . You turn it for choices of free pour or restraining pour . Or close it. It’s very lightweight and easy to handle. I do handle it with some care. They are glass .

Happy with size, weight, and appearance of pitcher. Perfect for maintaining a supply of favorite drinks - iced tea and lemonade. Only one concern: glass handle is relatively thin and attached to pitcher at very small points. Do not feel confident that handle won’t break from weight of pitcher so only lift while supporting bottom with other hand. Due to this would not get again.

This pitcher is the best I have ever had. Can free flow or strain flow. I liked it so much I have 3. Two for Ice tea and one for Ice coffee. Can of course be used for other beverages.

I drink a lot of green tea- maybe 2-3 quarts a day. I broke one of my regular pitchers (photographed) even though I pot ice in the bottom. This has worked for a long time but it broke the bottom pit this time. So I looked for borosilicate glass to avoid this problem. Also it allows me to use filtered water without diluting it with unfiltered ice. So after research and experiment I can answer my own questions and probably others. Fit: It fits alongside my 2 quart bistro pitchers (see photo) Temp resistance: You can take this and put it on the stove. Recognize that the rating is 350F and fired stoves can go past that and so can electric stoves. So use low-medium heat. I have taken it from the fridge and rinsed the outside with hot water (out of an abundance of caution) for 20 seconds or so and then brewed directly on a flat stove. Worked perfectly. Thickness (durability). This thing is designed with the best thickness to make it withstand thermal changes. It may feel thin, but if you treat it like any other glass item it will be just fine. Too looseness: You can’t store it on it’s side (why would you want to?) but the top does have a reversible silicone seal that makes it loose or tighter. Doesn’t matter to me because I drink it faster than it matters. Also the handle doesn’t get hot at all - mine wasn’t over the heat directly (see pics). I will be replacing my regular pitchers with these. I have included a picture of it boiling and one of it in the fridge next to regular 2qt pitchers for reference.

The handle is weak and arrived cracked at the top. The box was undamaged.

It is truly heat resistant... I have been boiling water with it for coffee and tea... No complaints

Couldn't find one more Glass water jug with a steel jug anywhere else. Very thoughtfully made item. Just wish the glass was a little thicker. This feels a little like chem lab beaker.

This pitcher is very nice. I love it that it is light and easy to use. I have a hard time carrying heavy pitchers and pouring from them. It pours easily and the seal is good too. It fits very well in the fridge and takes a lot less room than other 2L pitchers. The handle is great. However, it pours quite slow. If you try to make it go faster by 'dumping it forward' more it starts to leak. I found sometimes I need to take the lid off to pour faster. When I do, it pours very nicely. Also, you can't get your hand in it so I need to use a brush when cleaning it, which is a bit annoying. I like the pitcher enough not to worry about that though. The pluses outweigh the negatives in my eye.
