No Discernable Vanilla Taste
Tastes like an early Joe Weider formula I used to favour. However there is no vanilla taste to this product at all which is very disappointing. Guess I'll be stuck with ordering the one without vanilla next time.

Tastes like mushy peas
I chose this because I was conscious that I was eating artificial sweeteners 7-days a week with my usual protein powder on my breakfast of fruit and nut muesli… but flavouring my cereal with the distinct taste of mushy peas is a step too far 🤢

Not for me
Tasted horrible, gritty and powdery. I found it hard to drink and digest even mixed with berries and almond milk etc and feel like I wasted my money

Love hate, but love with adjustments!
I gave it a 5 star for the following reasons which also has its cons to them, but easily worked around: - It's not overly sweet. In fact the barely there sweetness makes it almost a turn-off. However, compared to other brands that are "too sweet", I can control the sweetness factor to my liking by adding fruit and whatever else I want to my liking. -to get 25gr of protein per serving, you need the too large scoops. Technically this would equate to 2.5lbs of any other supplement that requires the one scoop for the same amount of protein. Still a deal! -The list of ingredients is as clean as you'll find out there! Just for this reason alone this is a great purchase! -If baking with this and want to get the same amount of protein per servings as the one scoop counterpart, you'll have to change up the recipe a bit to accomodate the extra dry ingredients to liquid ration. -I made chocolate protein icing with the chocolate version on my protein brownies.............the possibilities are endless! Just make a few adjustments and trust me, you'll end up loving it!

DISGUSTING!!! DO NOT BUY
DO NOT BUY!! This is the worst protein powder I have ever tasted. I had it once mixed with my usual yogurt and fruit and it’s the worse thing I have ever tasted and my stomach was immediately upset. Also buyer beware. They won’t return unopened containers.

Clean Protein but Not Very Tasty
I really wanted to like this protein powder. The price is great, and the ingredient list is clean and simple, which I really appreciate. I also like that it’s plant-based, making it a good option for a variety of dietary preferences. However, the flavor just didn’t work for me. I actually thought I might have accidentally ordered the unflavored version at first because the vanilla taste is extremely mild and barely noticeable. It also has a slightly gritty texture, even when blended. That said, it does have some positives. It blends well in a smoothie without clumping, and I didn’t experience any digestive issues or stomach discomfort, which is important for me with protein powders. I’ve been using it in protein shakes, and while I’ll finish the container, I personally wouldn’t purchase it again due to the lack of flavor and texture. If taste isn’t a priority and you’re looking for a very clean, simple protein powder, this could still work for you.

SOLID CHOICE
I’ll be honest — this is not the best tasting or easiest mixing protein out there. It’s a little grainy and takes some effort to shake properly. But that’s exactly why I bought it. This is one of the few proteins that is truly clean. No additives, no sweeteners, no weird ingredients — just straight pea protein. And if you’re trying to avoid all the extra stuff, that matters. Also, no emulsifiers or mixing agents. Most protein powders add those to make it dissolve easier and feel smoother, but they’re still extra processed ingredients your body has to deal with. They don’t add real nutritional value — they just improve texture and shelf life. Most “smooth” proteins are smooth because they add things to make them that way. This one doesn’t. So yeah, you give up a little convenience and texture… but you know exactly what you’re putting in your body. For me, that trade-off is worth it. If you want something clean and simple, this is a solid choice at least for me.

Deserves a better rating against like-kind
Deserves a better rating when compared with like-kind. I'm a little more spartan when it comes to supplements and want the supplement, not the useless extras or marketing fluff that pumps the price, not the muscle. The vanilla flavor is very marginally more pleasant, but I prefer the additional servings and protein in the unflavored. I add fruit, peanut butter, honey, and milk or coconut water anyway. It's gold standard pea protein at nearly half the cost of whey. I get enough dairy and meat protein from my regualr daily diet, so pea protein is worth the savings without converning me about missing bovine sources in my diet.
