Fun, yet compact. First setup was interesting though.
Turned out to be a great purchase. The only difficulty was unfolding and refolding it for the first time setup. Yes, there are YouTube videos out there to show you how to unfold and refold to set up, but they've changed the design a little in terms of some braces and the seat attachments from what was in the videos I watched. However, once past that first initial setup, it became easier to unfold and fold with each use. You want a helper during that first setup as the plastic doesn't have any creases in it yet and it takes some muscle while somebody else hold things steady.

Fine
Arrived quickly. Gift recipient watched video and assembled within 15 minutes. Able to purchase a paddle reasonably-priced locally. It's been in the water a few times so far. Does not leak. As noted in other reviews, the foot rest situation isn't comfortable, so working on adjustment or modification.

Water can Splash in
I am on the heavier side for the kayak so when I paddle at a faster rate there is the tendency to splash water into the boat at the rear side folds. Nothing major just a caution when out and about have a sponge or towel to absorbed the water.

Be patient
Don't let yourself get frustrated like i did when learning to put together. Leave in the sun for a day or two, work the grooves in, and know that the first time or two are really tight to fit together. Once you get the assembly down (youtube) it is a blast to have. Easily fits in any trunk space, durable, no leaks

Stays afloat!
Affordable choice, would be a great kayak for a leisurely float on a calm lake or pond. I’m new to kayaking and this was my first purchase so I do not have a lot of other kayaks to compare this to, but… …I think this would be a great calm water kayak. Let’s start from the beginning though. Assembly is tough the first 3 or 4 times. You’ll think you’ve got it in a pinch and then you’ll spend thirty minutes just trying to process a video in your mind. Folding the front and back is the hardest part, look carefully at the folds on the video to help you out. The seat is quite low, you are most definitely under the water line, and as a heavy boy (240 lb) I think this allowed some water in from the back of the boat. It is also quite wide so water falls from the oars easily. Toward the end of my five hour float I had a good couple of inches in the kayak. Still did not feel like I was sinking, just quite soggy. Tracked to the right, even with the rudder attached. The edges and the bolts in the kayak are quite a pain. Hit my hand and the oar on them several times and got a good gouge in my oar. Recommend tape for the side edges, they are not covered as it shows in the pictures above. Emptying water from the kayak by the shore is almost impossible unless you tip the kayak upside down, 🙃 All in all, fun, cheap kayak for a leisurely and short calm-watered area. Cover up those sharp edges and you’ve got something to send Grandma to the edge of the world with. Highly recommend saving and buying yourself something nicer though. Great portability, fits in my Subaru Legacy with the seat down. Good plastic, I gave it the runaround when I tried to assemble the first time.
