Best Maxi Skirt for Cooler Weather
I ordered the navy and the grey maxis just in time for Fall 2013. They have exceeded my expectations. I have worn them on a casual basis as well as dressy for church. I have also washed them a couple of times (inside-out) and they came out of the dryer looking like new - haven't seen any pilling at all. They're the perfect weight of fabric and have a smooth texture - in fact, I found the grey seems to have just a bit silkier texture but the weight of the fabric is still there. The fabric cannot be compared to a sweatshirt. To be more accurate, I call it a heavier jersey knit because it's much more professional looking. The seams and hem are finished nicely. The seam down the back always stays straight which I think helps make the skirt very flattering. I ordered them in the size I usually wear and didn't find it too tight. However, I like having to wear it higher on my midriff - no muffin-top, and the length is perfect, about 1 ½ inches off ground. I don't like my hems to hit the ground because I don't like to get them dirty. I highly recommend them, they look much more expensive than what you're paying for. I just ordered another skirt today in brown.

Tight fit, plaid design, cotton material
It's hard to tell from the picture so I wanted to provide some more detail on the skirt...The material is a relatively solid cotton (think: thick T-Shirt). The material at the waist is thicker. The gray is not solid, it's a gray white checked pattern (thought the checks are tiny). It's tight fitting around the belly, so if you have a bit of a stomach it's not comfortable; and it pulls/creases across the hips.

LOOOOONNNNGGGG Skirt
Perhaps I didn't understand that it would be so heavy and sooooo long. If you have wider hips (which I do) it will flare out starting at the knee and all the way down. Upon folding it up, as they say you can do, it flares out even more. I looked AWFUL in it. It is very heavy and good for this time of year (late November), as it would be warm, so that is good. If you have wide hips and/or a little weight on you, I don't suggest purchasing it, as I felt it only made me look heavier. For you skinny gals?? Have at it! It is a decent enough skirt and is good for this time of year. I wish I could say better things, however, I am definitely returning this one.

Suitable for work
This skirt is thick enough not to show through, long enough not to be revealing and appropriate for work. As a 5’4”, 160ish lbs woman I need work appropriate clothes that don’t cling to make me look trampy or like a sausage. The size large fit me nicely, without muffin-top, biting my waste or squeezing me like a roll of Charmin toilet paper. If you are, I guess the euphemism is, “curvy” like me, this skirt is for you. My students say it looks stylish. I like the fact that even though it is 5% lycra it doesn’t cling on every bulge in my thighs. The A-line shape takes it away from my legs just in time to avoid unfortunate clinginess that comes with the comfortable stretch of lycra. The only downside I found is that it does collect static in the cold dry weather. Spray the inside with some hair spray and the static comes right out. Definitely pretty if you want to wear your clothes and not have them wear you.

I love this skirt
I love this skirt! I was surprised at how nice it hangs and how well it fits for the price. The fabric is thicker and denser than the thin, clingy jersey fabrics most maxi skirts seem to be made of. Which makes it look a bit more professional/modest for work, and is also cozy in cold weather (might actually be too hot for summer, IMO). I still recommend wearing a slip or leggings underneath, but I do that anyway with any skirts/dresses that don't have built-in lining. One important thing to be aware of! This skirt will only fit well as a maxi if you are very petite! I am just under 5'1" with a waist-hip measurement of 25-35 and it fits me just right--doesn't fall off my hips or squeeze too tightly. It is shorter than all other maxi skirts I've tried--I wear it high up on my natural waist without the waistband rolled, and the hem hits right at my ankles. If you are slim and taller this might work really well as a midi skirt (because of the a-line shape and the fabric not having a ton of stretch, it would be hard to wear lower on your hips--it looks best worn higher up at your natural waistline).Overall I am very happy with this purchase!

very wearable skirts
I love these skirts, I now own one in every color. I am 5'5", 127 lbs with a 28" waist. The medium fits me tightly around my upper waist (I'm short-waisted), as I like high-waisted skirts more, as they flatter my body. The bottom of the skirts just barely graze the top of my feet. Soo comfortable, and versatile enough quality and style-wise to be dressed up or down. If you prefer a looser fit on your hips rather than waist and you're around my size, I recommend the large.I don't like the look of rolling the waist down, so I wear the waist flat. The material is sorta heavy, so it's perfect for the cooler seasons. The burgundy is a rich wine color, and the grey has a (for lack of a better description) "tv snow" look to it, not a plain solid grey color. It's really nice, especially for the price. Shipping, as always, is much faster with Prime. I've ordered with and without it, and without took about a week, give or take.I wash these in cold water, and hang to dry. They seem to dry very quickly. Overall, I'd recommend these skirts to anyone!

Five stars for every other colors than grey. Its quality actually differs from the other skirts.
I own every color of this winter skirts but the burgundy (I didn't like the color) and grey.I returned two grey skirts: one had stripes, the other had white dots. The fabric of the grey skirt effectively differs from all the other skirts. I do assume it has to do with the dye itself. The feel is unpleasant.I contacted the seller, hoping he could send me a plain dark grey skirt (that's what charcoal is).I received no answer.I'm disappointed, and recommend every color but the grey.
