YOU NEED THIS PUMP NOWWWW!!!
I bought one haakaa pump before I had my son in August because of all the great reviews. I didn’t actually start using it until he was almost 6 weeks old, I really wished I had started using it the day I started nursing. Whether you’re full time breast feeding, bottle feeding, split feeding, this is the best thing you could ever have. I collected so much milk that would have gone to waist because I was producing way more than my newborn would eat. My let down flow would absolutely just drown him, so I’d just put the haakaa on the breast he’s going to eat from for a minute or so, then he’s good to eat without choking. I eventually transitioned to strictly bottles because it was easier for us. I used the Medela Spectra, the manual breast pumps by Medela and Lansinoe, but this one works the best. I ended up buying another to strictly pump using only the haakaas. The way it pulls all the milk out with a continuous suction, I get more milk using these than anything I’ve ever used. I get a full 10 ounces with a 30 minute pump session using these breast pumps when I’d only get max 8 using my electric 200 dollar breast pumps. Not only does it work better, it’s just a million times more convenient. Bringing spare cups and bottles is a lot easier than making sure you can connect to power. I use the haakaa cups almost every time I go out. If I need to pump, a quick 15-30 minute pump is all I need to get going again. They’re easy to wash, my husband hated washing my electric pump, but never complains when asked to wash these lol. There’s only a tad bit of cons that don’t nearly outweigh the pros. A con would be they don’t have a strap to save the milk from falling in your lap and spilling once the suction runs out. This is most definitely the worst thing, I’ve lost so many ounces from clumsily trying to multitask. Now I sit mostly still and keep an eye on the suction so I can adjust and pour when needed. The other con which I wouldn’t really say is a con, is you have to replace them more often. With an electrical you’d have to replace all millions of pump pieces every three months or less depending on usage. These pumps, you have to replace them once the silicone becomes cloudy. This takes a while to happen, but it will eventually in about 2-3 months. Judging how easily these are to clean, using a soft sponge will make your pumps last a lot longer, but either way being hundreds of dollars less than an electrical pump, this is definitely where to invest. I also bought the lady bug collection cups in hopes of losing less milk when I’m too busy to pump. If my breasts are leaking, I can just pop those on really quickly, they fit the best in a nursing or sports bra. I’m obsessed with saving every drop for my baby, haakaa really really knows how to help with that. Just please please please make safety lanyards for your collection cups so less milk gets waisted for clumsy moms 🥹 Thank you!!!!

Perfect to catch let down when nursing!
I purchased the Haakaa as a way to catch my let down because I was leaking EVERYWHERE! I was recommended this from my lactation consultant and it has been a game changer. I originally got the one Haakaa with the ladybug combo to try it out since my other breast would drench my baby and myself while nursing. But now I purchased a second Haakaa because I noticed that my now more alert little one (~1 mth) loves to wake up to me pumping with my Spectra 2 (great electrical pump). I recommend purchasing two Haakaa's for both let down and if your pump eventually bothers your baby. Note: The ladybug needs to be placed in a bra to work and it's a little uncomfortable for me. But will probably be more useful once I am out the house. How I use the product: - Nursing: I use it on my bare breast without a bra when nursing. When nursing it stays on rather well except sometimes my baby likes to kick it off but it depends on your nursing position. - Pumping: I usually only pump one breast at a time with my electrical pump, so I use the one Haakaa to catch the let down from the other breast before I get to it. Then I pour whatever let down I get into the pump bottles directly. *I haven't used it as a true manual pump often but it works as advertised if you follow the attachment process. For my purpose, I typically just gently squeeze the bottom while sitting and suction it on. Pros: - Quiet - Collects let down - Can position out of the way so my little one isn't soaked in milk from the non nursing side - Can be used as a pump - Cheaper than electrical Cons: - A little painful due to high suction - Can fall off easily if moving (i.e. use when sitting down or secure/hold it in place when walking) - Probably need to buy a set if replacing electrical pump or collecting let down - Can tip over if not careful - Can fall off if filled too much Tips: - When removing the Haakaa from my breast the bottom lip usually drips a little bit of milk onto me. I usually prepare and hold a washcloth under before removing it off my breast. - My cactus bottle brush set I got on Amazon doesn't fit through the neck which is not this products fault. Although, it can be a consideration for those who wish to clean the Haakaa with a similar product. Overall: I love using this product and it's made my breastfeeding/pumping journey easier and more enjoyable. I recommend this for any first time mom!

One of the best tools that helped me when I started breastfeeding. In my experience its a must for the first weeks when one can have an oversupply, you can collect from one breast while feeding form the other. I built such a stash just doing that in the beginning before my supply got stablished. Its easy to clean and the suction is good and adjustable to your comfort and the suction you want.

Saved my breastfeeding journey
I wasn’t able to breastfeed with my first due to latch issues and wanted to try again with my second who arrived last month. We started off strong initially, but had a weight dip early on and I needed to supplement a bit in order to continue breast-feeding. I pumped exclusively with my first and it really reduced my quality of life and I wasn’t willing to do that again with my second. My doctor recommended using the Haaka during feeds so that I could supplement with breastmilk and continue to breastfeed. We are now five weeks in and breastfeeding is going strong and we no longer need to supplement. The Haaka made this possible for me and truly saved my breastfeeding journey because of its ease and my ability to use it during feeds to collect milk that I could use to supplement. It’s an incredible product for the price and I can’t recommend it enough.

Simple, effective, and a daily staple
I use the Haakaa manual breast pump every single day and it has been one of the most useful breastfeeding tools I own. It’s incredibly simple, but it works really well for what it’s designed to do. I mostly use it to collect letdown from the opposite breast while feeding my baby. Instead of letting that milk go to waste, the Haakaa catches it easily. Over time it really adds up, and I’ve been able to save a good amount of milk just from using it during regular feeds. One thing I really like is how soft the silicone is. It feels high quality and comfortable, and the suction is strong enough to stay in place while still being easy to attach and remove. Once you get the hang of how to put it on properly, it works very reliably. The only downside is that the standard version doesn’t have a suction base, which means it can be knocked over if you set it down on a surface. I’ve definitely had a few moments where I have cried over spilled milk. Because of that, you just have to be a little careful where you place it. That said, it’s still something I use every day and would absolutely recommend to anyone breastfeeding. It’s simple, effective, easy to clean, and a great way to collect milk that would otherwise be lost. Even with the small drawback, it’s been a really valuable tool in my breastfeeding routine.

An amazing tool for collection without pumping! N
I have purchased two of these now, highly recommend!!!!!!!! I used them with my first child back in 2019 and happily now with believer in 2024. I had my second child 7-21-2024 and I exclusively breast-feed until I go back to work. Right now my second is a month old (todays date 8-23-24) And I have 186 ounces saved in our chest freezer just by using my Haakaa!!! My production is a lot higher in the evening and through the night, so I don’t use them during the day unless I need to express off due to engorgement. So I typically use them for the 3 to 4 feedings through the evening/night. In the beginning, I would only collect an 1/2-1oz or so because my milk production was still getting established. I now am able to collect 2 to 3 ounces when I use it. I absolutely love these for those who want to stock up their supply without committing to pumping yet. I highly recommend these. Things to note. I have breast-fed for a child before and I know that I am able to produce a good 2-3 ounces off of each breast. Because he’s only a month old, he is able to be satisfied off of one breast. I am taking advantage of that second breast at about half the feedings when it feels full- feeding in the evening and night. (my second tends to eat more frequently throughout the day, so my breast does not get as full). I have created the demand a little higher than normal to allow me to stockpile. Additionally, I am very aware of what I need to be eating and drinking to encourage/support my supply. I am a true believer of body armor drinks, and coconut water to support breastmilk production. I drink at least (typically) one body armor (lyte) drink mixed with one coconut water drink EVERYDAY. The Haakaa is sooo much more convenient then a hand pump or my electric pump I will use when I return to work. Make sure you watch videos on how to properly attach, it’s really important. You have to bend the flange back to get that strong section- it can be uncomfortable and intense. But I promise you do adjust to it. It works great by providing that consistent suction so when your milk lets down, you can encourage it to come out easily of the second breast. So when the milk lets down for the baby (breast 1), it lets down for the Haakaa too (breast 2)!! Love these!!

IN LOVE with my Haakaas!
I seriously love these so much, I got two and am debating getting two more. Wish I had them with earlier kids. I use them everyday, mostly to relieve myself when my baby is still sleeping and my milk starts leaking, or most often, to catch milk on available breast when baby is feeding on the other. I've accumulated jars and jars of milk for the freezer, I cannot believe that I had been using an extra burp cloth or letting the extra milk soak into my nursing bra or shirt before and foolishly thinking it was barely anything. Both of my free insurance electric double pumps have been chucked into storage - sorry!!!! Those were just too hard to use and clean/sanitize all the parts (who has time for that?!! - and that was with my husband doing all the sanitizing LOL). I am a huge fan of any baby product, especially one that is being used so frequently, that cleans as conveniently as possible. These are it. In the newborn phase, we did soap and boil cleanse daily but a few months down the road now, I just quickly rinse with non-scented soap after transferring the milk out (into a glass jar that I store in the fridge daily), then lay on a towel to air dry. It's hard to beat the convenience of these Haakaas plus the fact that they suction-attach onto your breasts so you don't need to buy those expensive extra fancy nursing bras that also have the fabric designed to hold the pump cups to your breasts - I now don't even need to use that feature on mine anyway because I find it more convenient to just drop the entire nursing bra flap down and quickly suction the Haaka on myself when I need. Guess I don't have to buy more of those fancy bras. Just more Haakas maybe, lol. Update: I started walking around with them on under my shirt when I'm having a nursing bra free day, just gotta be careful you don't accidentally knock them off yourself because I often forget they're on me. WARNING: watch out that your baby doesn't slap or ninja kick it clear off your breast when it's full of milk like mine has done a few times at the end of a feeding session... Downsides: 1) The more it fills with milk, the weaker the suction gets. Maybe due to reduced air pressure and the heavier weight of the Haakaas. 2) Silicone picks up smells. Use unscented soap. Also when I've been in a rush, I've been guilty of putting a Haakaa into the fridge for a few hours. When I take it out, the silicone has taken on a slight smell of the inside of my fridge, so maybe you're not supposed to do that. Soaking in vinegar for a few hours or boiling gets rid of smell. 3) Takes a little time to get used to the feel of them suctioned on you. It's a bit uncomfortable at first but now I sometimes forget they're on me. They hurt a bit if you suction-attach on an empty breast. 4) If you wear them as frequently as I do, they leave suction marks around your breasts. Doesn't hurt but doesn't look pretty - fades within a day. Your husband might also ask you why you are walking around with those things on all the time but will get used to seeing your breasts squished inside of the Haakaas poking up under a giant T-shirt or robe (or nothing). 5) 4 oz does not collect 4 oz. More like 3.5 oz. You won't want it too full anyway, see #1. 6) Using as a manual pump doesn't work for me. I was 3ish weeks postpartum when I first got these. I first tried one as a manual pump during a feeding session but it stayed empty, even after my letdown. I was upset it failed and went back to covering my breast with a burp cloth. I thought they didn't work and I was frustrated since they are non refundable. A few days later while baby was napping, I wanted to do some cleaning. My usual milk catchers weren't cleaned yet, so I thought I'd use the Haakaas as a substitute in case I started leaking and baby was still sleeping (I figured they should pay for themselves somehow). At the end of the hour, I realized that they had collected 1-2 oz of milk each. Surprisingly, I hadn't felt my milk coming out. So these work beautifully for me as milk catchers vs. as a manual pump. I also hand-express when my breasts need more relief than the Haakaas can give. 7) No suction base. Can be easily knocked over. You can’t just put it down on the counter or nightstand. I have to remember to bring an extra cup to set it down inside of.

Shrinkflation strikes again (2x buyer)
I have purchased this product twice for pumping after two pregnancies (2022 and 2025). It was by far the best silicone breast pump I used (I’ve probably tried 4 different brands now since they’re all relatively affordable at less than $20-$15). I really like that these work without any active pumping and just rely of the suction created by the initial squeeze and seal. I generally alternate baby on one side and pump on the other each feeding and it’s been really effective for me to keep my supply steady and baby fed- and I don’t even ever really need to use the pumped milk. I think some other reviewers may be confused about how this product works based on their comments, but if it helps anyone- know that you don’t actively squeeze and release this product to pump milk out, it just does it like a suction cup on glass (but not lol). All that said, I can’t give it five stars and my main point in writing this is that the product has changed between the last three years. The one I purchased in 2022 was at least a full 2 grams heavier (73g vs 71g) than what I purchased in 2025. This is a big difference for a product of this size made entirely of silicone. It was the quality, thickness and sturdiness that made the Haakaa so much better than the competitors, but it seems they have opted to reduce the most important aspects of the product to either increase profits or mask rising production costs and keep the consumer price stable (but for an inferior product). I was so disappointed when I realized this because the 2022 version was so good. Mine even works better than the competitors and 2025 haakaa after my dog chewed off part of the opening- not kidding. I could still recommend this product generally but it’s only marginally better than others now and if there’s any return buyers- know the product is not quite the same

Genial

Product good, delivery at Dubai very bad
Product is amazing, it helps to pump milk very fast and easy. However, in Dubai delivery company confused flat number and I had to search from neighbour my package.

On ne peut pas s'en passer !
Recommandé par les sages-femmes de la maternité, je me suis lancée ! Quel malheur de ne pas l'avoir eu pour ma première grossesse, c'est très utile et je le recommande pour chaque post-accouchement !

A must buy for breastfeeding mothers!
Honestly the best thing for breastfeeding and I have recommended them over and over. I simply put it on the 'spare' boob when I was feeding from the other and it caught the let down. Suctions well so no worry about it falling off as long as you follow the instructions. Honestly, wouldn't go without and had to buy another during my breastfeeding journey.
