This has a few flaws: 1. If you unplug the headphone cable from the adapter, it does NOT signal to the device to stop playback. This is expected: other adapters (and built-in headphone ports) do stop playback in this case. 2. If you plug in a cable or headset that does NOT have a microphone into the adapter, it does NOT allow you to use the built-in microphone. This is expected: other adapters (and built-in headphone ports) detect that the attached headset is only TRS and therefore has no microphone, which allows the device to fall back to its internal microphone. As a result, this adapter cannot be used to make a call because the other side cannot hear (and there is no way to resolve this from the device's settings).

Does not work on Windows or Android devices if the headset does not have a mic, it will work for a second and then lower the volume to zero. With a headset that does have a mic windows pc volume is too low and videos will stop playing for no reason every couple of seconds.
