ミニマルなキャンプや野営シチュエーションでも対応できそう。ぶら下げたり、ベルトに通して完全固定したりと重宝するシース。サイズといい、バランスといい携行性抜群。実用面も指のかかる部分の処理に考え抜かれた工夫が〇。また、防錆コートされた全体、プラ製持ち手カバーの外観は頼りにできますナ。

刃も鋭く、コンパクトの割には十分使える

モノはとてもいいです。パッカーンみたいな薪割りは広葉樹では無理です。バトニング用だと思います。

ソロキャンプをする友人にプレゼントしたのですが重さや大きさが丁度良いらしくかなり喜んでもらえました。

軽く持ちやすく扱いやすい手斧…と書くと良いことづくめな印象だが、実際のところはそうでもない。何故ならフルタング構造のために重量が斧全体に分散されているからだ。 当たり前の話だが、重量が分散されているということは斧の刃に本来必要とされる重みが集中しておらず、薪に向かって斧を振り下ろす際の遠心力も小さく軽くなってしまう。故に、斧の軽さをカバーするだけの腕力が必要になる。すっぽ抜け注意である。 また、本製品の厚みは柄に近い部分でも僅か5.5㎜に過ぎず、刃はそこから更に薄くなっている。小枝を払う程度の目的ならばまだしも、これでは薪を割るには不向きと言わざるを得ない。 この製品は言わば、斧の形をしたナイフのようなもので、下手をすれば厚めの刃を持ったナイフでバトニングしたほうが早く丁寧に薪を割れるくらいだ。そんな斧に石でも打ち付けてバトニングするくらいなら、少し出費が嵩んでも普通の手斧を買った方が良い選択になると思う。 ついでに言うと、この手斧は箱出しではフェザースティックを作ることが出来ないくらい刃が付いていない。良い斧になればナイフが要らないくらいのフェザーが作れるし、バトニングに優れたナイフなら逆に斧が要らなくなる。（無論腕前も必要だが） そういう意味では、この手斧はどっちつかずの中途半端な代物だろう。付属のシースも柄頭を先に突っ込んで刃側に封をするという変わった仕様だし…まあ、突っ込み処満載の逸品であることは間違いない。 というか、斧状の刃の広がりが無い時点で「叩き割る」用途には不向きなように思う。

大きさ見た目は良い。 大きい薪は割りにくい。 ノコギリとかでカットした後ならいける。

手斧みたいな役割は難しいかも。

Good value for a quality product

Getting some decent action out of it. Although for most enthusiasts a sturdier camping axe will definitely be required. All things said and done it'll process bush up to about 2-3" max, anything larger and the effort just isnt worth it. It does however have a nice fingergrip around the head, and I use it as a multipurpose tool. It'll chop, it'll shave, it's back can hammer pegs, break rocks, bones, etc... For what they're aiming for though, it works well, lightweight, easy to trek with. I haven't found any issues with the sheath while wearing it on a belt, it comes out easy from that angle, doesn't catch on anything. However it is difficult to draw from different angles, probably what these other reviewers are mentioning, but again it's obviously meant to be latched to a belt... So why carry it any other way. The blade is mid-fine edge, not fine, and it'll need a good whetstone to get sharp after first use. Easy enough to resharpen that sort of edge though, a monkey could do it. The haft/handle is comfortable, despite being full tang + workings on the handle it's still balanced well. Over all decent, my biggest issue is with the angle of its edge, but I think I understand their decision. Decent sharpness/reapplying sharpness balance is difficult to achieve, especially at this cost.
