I grew up with real Tonka toys... with metal blades... you could really dig with them.  What's the blade on this "classic" toy made of?

I grew up with the metal ones too, and was hoping these new 'metal' Tonkas were a revival.  Sadly, they're not.  They've got just enough metal that they can use the word, but all of the actual digging/scraping/plowing parts on all of them are cheap plastic where you would naturally expect the durability of metal.  In spite of what the manufacturer's rep claims in his response, these toys are NOT able to withstand realistic play in dirt and sand...and they've all pretty much been crap since 2000.  I really find the idea that a thick durable metal blade is somehow less safe than the cheap thin (often sharp) plastic found on these toys absurd.

Is the entire toy meter or steel except the rubber wheels and steering wheel

The Cab, Main Frame (Chassi) and Motor Cover are all Steel.  The wheels are plastic due to modern toy testing regulations but tested for high quality durabilty & strength. I had Tonka trucks as a kid, & my younger sibs had others. But the paint chipped & they rusted. Is paint more durable & metal parts rust-resistant?

Is the blade metal?

The Tonka Steel Classics Road Grader that I ordered and received in September 2021 has a plastic blade on it.  The main body of the Grader is metal. There are metal rods (underneath plastic) for axles connecting the wheels and a metal rod for the movement of the blade but the blade itself is plastic.
