How should I prepare ingredients before chopping?

Cut ingredients into small, even pieces before placing them in the bowl. Remove bones, stones, thick skins and hard stalks to protect the blades and help produce a more even result.

How much food should I put in the bowl?

For smoother operation, avoid filling the bowl completely. Process smaller batches and leave enough space for the blades to rotate freely. Overfilling may reduce chopping performance or jam the cord.

Why are my ingredients not being chopped evenly?

Pieces that are too large or an overfilled bowl can restrict blade movement. Cut the food smaller, reduce the quantity and use several short, smooth pulls, checking the texture between pulls.

How do I install the blade unit correctly?

Place the blade unit vertically onto the centre post and check that it sits securely before adding food. Fit the lid evenly onto the bowl; never force the lid closed if the parts are misaligned.

What should I do if the cord becomes stuck or will not retract?

Stop pulling and do not force the handle. Check whether the bowl is overfilled, food is blocking the blades or the lid is misaligned. Remove some food, refit the parts and try again gently.
