I’m 39 with a fair complextion and have to wear a surgical mask at work. I’m always on the lookout for a colored mascara to subtly enhance my (hazel-green) eye color. Shadow and liner doesn’t wear quite as well on older skin. Especially when wearing a mask during 12-hour shifts at the hospital. Colored mascaras (in my experience) are notoriously NeVeR as waterproof as they claim to be. If I’m not careful to apply a clear, water proof top-coat, I will wind up with purple or green raccoon eyes. Not cute. This mascara is surprisingly great. I love the color. I wear it with a plum, maroon, or green liner and it really brings out the green in my eyes and does not need a clear coat. The brush is also fabulous. Another (notorious) failing in some brands of colored mascaras is the applicator. This product lengthens, separates, volumizes, and gives a subtle color pop that enhances my all-around eye game.

I have always loved colored mascaras, but finding a midnight blue that was this high quality and pigmented was awesome. I piled it on to make sure you could see it in all its glory, but it goes on really thin with tiny filaments that lengthen my lashes at the same time if I’m going for a more subtle look. It’s also really fun to brighten it up with a brighter blue underneath it or to mix purple or any number of other shades to create a unique color. It’s my new favorite mascara and it’s a large sized container as well. All these things combined make it ok with me that it was on the more expensive side. I’ll definitely be buying as many of the other beautiful/unusual colors that I can at some point, as I’m sure they’ll be as gorgeous and useful as what I already have.

Love the color, but its pretty clumpy. What I have found, is that I put on a brown mascara (non clumping) as a first coat and then add it as a 2nd coat. Then I have to use another wand brush to separate it out. It looks good once it's on and after a few coats.

Looks better when wet, it dies down pretty dark and almost looks black. The brush is also way too large, there's no way to get to the root of the lash without it going all over your eyelids. Will use it until it's gone, but will not repurchase.

Giving four stars because I have to use a separate brush to apply this when they could have just designed something more reasonable. Way too much product comes out on the wand brush, always with a huge dollop of mascara at the very end where you want it to be clear so you can do detail work on lashes. Trying to “wipe” this dollop of product back into the tube makes a mess and forces consumers to waste product they paid for and potentially create an unsanitary situation with something they put near their eyes. The color is stunning and I won’t buy another mascara, this is it for me and goes perfectly with my mauve dyed hair. I really hope they improve their brush going forward, though I’ve already bought one to apply.
