Pictures suggest it had a smooth spine I think amazon needs to check themselves cuz I know this knife has a sharp spine?

The spine’s back is smooth; however, the edges of the spine are sharp. It’s perfect for throwing sparks with a Fero Rod.

Is this 1095 carbon steel?

Almost. Carbon content is similar, a but higher in manganese, the addition of silicon, plus proprietary tempering. Personally, I prefer it to 1095 blades this size. Not sure it would be feasible in a full sized Kabar.

What is the best oil to prevent rust?

While technically correct that you can use any oil, food grade oils (vegetable, olive, etc) are best as they won’t foul the blade for food prep usage. No one wants 10-40 weight marinade.

Does the blade ratain solidly in the sheath no matter which way its facing? Basically asking if its able to do left hand carry with the platic sheath

Greetings.... Yes, it locks either way it is inserted and holds very well. With the Multi Sheath it is the same.... use it left or right handed.... my only concern about the knife I purchased is it does not have the Morakniv logo oneither side of the blade. I have a couple friends that have the same knife and they all have the logo. I contacted Mora and they stated they do not sell any unmarked knives as that is part of the inspection process. This one is identical to the others, boxing, build, weight and maintains an edge etc.... Even without the logo I would recommend this knife. I use mine but do not abuse it. It will last a very long time....

見た目で選んでもいいと思う

ステンレスを使っていたので使いやすさに惚れてカーボンを購入。バトニング、フェザーで比較してみましたが、どちらも切れ味は変わらず錆も気にならないレベル。見た目のカッコよさでカーボンを選んでもいいと思います。

頑丈です

以前モーラナイフのコンパニオンを使用していたが、バトニングでグリップと刃が完全分離。フルタングはやっぱり頑丈です。
