Lights consistently and well built design, given outer housing is made of plastic. Easy to refill, just make sure butane refill fits this lighter (zippo butane refills fit, but not the larger butane cans used in stoves and larger torches). This would be a 5 star product, but the price is on the high side compared to similar butane torches of this size. The flame control also has little to no effect on the size of the flame.

I finally found a lighter that I really like. When I used to smoke cigarettes many years ago Zippo was my go to lighter because it was very dependable but lets face it Zippo is really not the best choice when it comes to lighting your favorite stick. I've had dozens of lighters designed for cigars some cheap and some very expensive but most I could never count on to light the first time every time until now. The Blazer CG-001 fills great in the hand, is light weight but of good construction, has a butane window and always works first time every time. Even on the highest flame setting it does not burn your cigar and gives off a nice even burn. Take it from a guy that has spent way to much money on lighters this is where it starts and stops.

Had regular Blazer years ago and when I needed a new lighter I thought that the Wide Flame would be nice to have. Unfortunately, the metal stem inside that makes the spark does not work most of the time. I found that I had to adjust it with a paper clip up or down to put it in the angle that would cause the lighter to light when pushing down on the button. Some times it lights, many times it takes multiple clicks to get it to light and then sometimes goes out before cigar is fully lit. Disappointed and really wanted to enjoy this.

I want to love this torch but the top part sometimes snaps back easily causing the lid to melt rite where you open it. Im so bummed only a week and i dont use it anymore...next time im going with the windmill delta.
