Hamilton Beach 4 Qt Electric Stand Mixer With 7 Speeds, Easy-Carry Handle

I had the mixer for over a year now, and thought to make a review about it I have used it quite a bit to make dough for various pastries, breads, cakes, cookies and other desserts. I used all the attachments, including the whip whisker. I have to say, it did the job very well, and the dough that comes out of the bowl of this stand mixer is wonderful, and well mixed. I have made many cakes, bread, pies, and cookies and all came back better than what I expected. I have recently made cinnamon rolls using this stand mixer to make the dough, photos of which are included in this review. pros, quick to assemble, use, and clean. Easy to operate and to get the attachments hooked and unhook them. small in size, and easy to store. it has variable speeds and will allow you to adjust depending on your needs. have used now for over a year, with about 2-4 times/ month, with no major issues. No problems with rust so far. cons small size, and it won't fit more than 7 to 8 cups of flour at once, the performance won't be as predictable, as the mixer was struggling and shaking as it was trying to get the ingredients mixed but was able to complete it. I will buy a larger size stand mixer, as at times I need to make a bigger batch of pies and for time considerations, but not because of its functionality which I believe is very good to excellent. it is one of my must have, and one of the most important items in my kitchen for baking and making desserts which everyone enjoyed. I have been using a larger Kitchen Aid mixer for years, but as I have gotten older it was getting too heavy for me to move around in the kitchen as I did not keep it on the kitchen counter all the time. I have been baking for 45 years and when I saw the Hamilton Beach mixer 4 quart it was just what I was looking for. I have a Hamilton Beach portable hand mixer which I use all the time for whipping cream or egg whites that I have had for several years and it has been reliable and problem free, so I felt comfortable buying the stand mixer. I love this mixer. It is so easy to move from a bottom cabinet to the counter. It is also very easy to use and clean up and the blue color is lovely. If you are making a large amount dough for a lot of cakes or a heavy dough this may not be able to handle that, but for cookies or a dozen cup cakes. or a cake you will have no problems.

Great little mixer. I gave away my large, heavy, expensive mixer (you know the one), and found I needed a mixer for cookie dough and whipping butter. This one is great at whipping butter, faster than the one it replaced. Love that it tilts. It’s much lighter and easier to carry, move, and manage. Sweet and easy clean up. Nothing terribly heavy or large, very easy to wash stainless bowl and parts by hand in the sink. Easier to store. Because it’s not heavy, the suction cups on the bottom need a flat surface to keep it from the little bit of bouncing or moving when it’s at higher speeds. Properly secured, I can walk away from it for extended periods and not worry about it moving at all. Because it’s lighter and smaller it doesn’t have to permanently hog counter space. Love the mint green. It cheers up the kitchen. Great price point.

On the smaller side and lightweight. Perfect for my needs but likely not sufficient for hardcore kneading. Very happy with the purchase.

I've previously owned a Kitchen-Aid which I loved, but it got damaged (no fault of its own) so researched less expensive options since I didn't use it often but still wanted one when needed. This one fits the bill, although the bowl is smaller than my previous one, it still easily fits a double batch of cookies which is the most I usually need size-wise. The weight is much less & the handle on top is super handy. It has suction cups on the bottom to help hold it in place on the counter when in use, another helpful plus. And I love the retro color & style - kind of reminds me of an old sewing machine. Highly recommend if not a full-time serious user, especially for the price.

Works very nice. Has 3 paddles handles heavy duty jobs, as well as small mixing jobs.

It has been a few months since I purchased it, and I use it occasionally. It has proven to be a valuable aid when preparing bread dough, even if only in small batches.

Ordered from UK but came with a 2 prong plug not sure if this is a US plug. Now have to try and purchase an adapter. UPDATE Advised to use a step transformer for uk use but transformer says not for mixers, Also warranty only for US and instructions say dont use an adapter/transformer.. Bought this from Amazon US so if they know they are shipping to UK why are they not giving UK buyers the above information? VERY DISAPPOINTED IN AMAZON. Think of buyers outside US. !!!!!!!!!!!!! This info is not in despription on Amazon UK.

Effective mixer, but there was barely any variability in speed which is disappointing

I’m very pleased with this 7-speed stand mixer. It handles mixing, whipping, and kneading with ease, and the different speed settings give great control for various recipes. The motor is strong enough for regular use, and the bowl size is perfect for small to medium batches. It’s easy to clean and doesn’t take up too much space on the counter.
