Another great Garmin watch
Great battery life, super screen and well built, shame there's no maps but all in all I think it's worth it as the amoled screen is great and the GPS is amazingly accurate. Previous I had a Fenix 5X this is a great replacement at a fantastic cost and I find the button controls are much more practical to use compared to touch screen given it's a Outdoor watch.

Great smartwatch
I bought this watch to replace an old Samsung Galaxy. The lack of a touchscreen took a little getting used to but once I got used to the watch it wasn't an issue. The battery life is excellent, 18 days charge is amazing. I have changed the strap as I don't like silicon ones, which is a personal choice. There are many features I haven't used yet. I do think this is good quality and good value for money.

Great watch
After owning this for a few months now, I am glad I went for the Garmin rather than an Apple Watch. Battery life is 28 days and does all the notifications I require.

Garmin Instinct 3 - excellent
Very pleased with the Garmin Instinct 3, easy to set up and use. Great analytics and heart rate zone monitoring. Comfortable on the wrist too.

Brilliant overall fitness watch
Shocked at how good this watch is. I only set it up this morning, which was simple and quick. I like how the watch looks fairly basic and old fashioned, but underlying those minimal details are so many different additional options. Not sure on the other reviews I've read about people finding it difficult to navigate using the buttons. I agree, it's not as straightforward as the Vivoactive 5 I had, but it took me about 10 minutes to be able to fully learn and navigate the whole system. I'd definitely recommend this watch. Whether you want it for outdoor or indoor activities, this watch covers everything. If you want the glam of the modern swipe watches, I'd avoid buying this as you'll be disappointed with the old standards of button pressing.

It doesn’t connect to the app and finding menu items is a joke
Absolute rubbish. Won’t connect to the app. Waste of time. Tried all the trouble shooting hints just rubbish. Another tech that failed.

Hardware is absolutely superb, the software UI has room for improvement
The watch itself is fantastic quality with a crisp and bright display, with accurate GPS tracking and great battery life. The only issues I have with it really are with whoever designs the actual software user interface - I find that the app is clunky, and that you cannot modify several key settings on the phone. Navigation on the phone also feels a little counterintuitive and the contextual buttons keep switching puprpose depending on screen. If you've used a Garmin before then probably none of this is a problem and you've developed 'muscle memory' but as someone new to the ecosystem its frustrating difficult to figure out how to do something as basic as switch the clock to 24 hours, since there is nothing in the settings relating to it - you have to install and fire up a separate app on your phone, which seems absurd.

Rugged, long battery life, and love the new colours
It's rugged, doesn't feel like you've got a block of glass strapped to your wrist that might shatter at any moment. The battery life and UI are great for me, simple but plenty capable, I went to a more full featured smart watch for a while from a big phone brand and couldn't stand having it on charge all the time, and found no use from all its extra abilities. I would, and have in fact, recommend Garmin watches to my family and friends.

Love this watch, has everything you need. I was looking at the data as I use for running and it has the same run features as the more expensive 265. The torch and redshift actually come in handy too. Battery life is fantastic, getting 2 weeks and that’s also using it for 1-2 hr daily activities

WHAT AN AWESOME WATCH EDIT2: coming back today to update. its now been 3 weeks without charging and it still shows 4 days remaining. EDIT: I just wanted to say that I bought this watch two weeks ago, fully charged it, and put it on. It gave me a battery estimate of 9 days. Today, is day 14 and it hasn't been charged yet and shows 6 days remaining. Awesome battery life, exactly what I needed. I am not outside all that often either, and it is running with heart rate sensor on. When I was younger, always used regular digital watches. They were built tough, lasted a long time, and did what they were supposed to. Then smart watches started to roll out. I ponied up and bought a samsung galaxy watch 4. Didn't take long to realize I did not like using it. There were two major glaring flaws with the smart watch - a display that would shut off and battery life that would barely make it a day. Switched back to a normal watch for a long time after; a solar G-shock. But even that had problems. The watch band started coming off, was replaced, and would keep falling off. The smallest chip in the body where the cheap 1.5mm spring bar went caused irreversible damage. Not to mention, the display was maybe 5 mm, it didnt have any advanced features, and was mainly a clock face dial type. So I started looking specifically for watches with a beefier watch band bar. No more 1.5mm spring cheapo bars for me. The first thing I came across and was serious about buying was the Suunto core all black. I really liked that it used a full-through screw bar. I actually purchased it, but shortly after kept researching and researching. Realized, this might not be the watch for me. Every review, discussion, always brought up the garmin instinct. I didn't want to spend too much, so cost was a major factor in my decision making. Anyway, ponied up the costs and bought this watch, and love it. Solar powered, been wearing it for days and hasnt lost any juice. Has a thicker stronger band bar. Always on display. Beautiful design. Plenty of smart watch features without the battery drain. I am beyond satisfied. Will use it for a long time.
