Brooks Men’s Glycerin 22 Neutral Running Shoe

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The best shoes I have ever had in my entire life I will not switch to any other shoe or any other model. Feels like I’m walking on air, but I have firm footing. Went through a lot of different types of Brooks to find these which are made for the way that I walk.

My go to walking shoe. Always same fit, feel and construction.

The best shoe for running or walking, highly recommended

Recently, I suffered from cervical spinal stenosis and had a foraminotomy and a double fusion across 3 vertebrae. I also have a bunion forming on my right foot. To prevent adjacent segment disease and further bunion growth, my AI foot specialist advised me to minimize activities that cause stress on the spine and to wear shoes with lots of cushion. I tried on many shoes and finally decided on this pair for my cardio (treadmill) days. I love the roomy toebox. This is the only pair that had a plush feel without feeling clunky like platform shoes.

First the pros. These are well made and fairly soft and squishy. Not as soft as the Glycerin Max or NB 1080s...but they definitely have some squish. If the Glycerin Max is a 10 for softness, then I'd put these at about a 9. The new Adrenalines would be at about a 6 or 7. So these are on the softer side of the spectrum. They are very neutral. Have a decent base. The padding is very nice around the heel. Feels very premium.The cons are that I thought they seemed a bit small and tight, even with the wide version. I didn't have much laces left to tie with by the time I opened up the upper enough to get my pumpkin foot in. I always order a half size up with any running shoe...and with these I should have gone a full size up. My plan was to use these for power walking, and they are just too soft for that. I felt like I was walking though quicksand.Some people really like that squishy underfoot feeling, and I do for everything except exercising. So if you are looking for something soft, but not crazy soft like the Glycerin Max, these might be for you. These are actually close to the Ghost Max for softness. I felt like I was falling off of inside of the shoe, but I do slightly over pronate. I'm giving four stars because they are nice shoes...they were just not a good fit for me. I went with Adrenalines instead.

It's everything in a running shoe you look for . True to size .

The shoes look great and are quite comfortable while running.That said, the way the toe box was designed is ruining the whole experience for me. As you can see on my pics, the fabric feels like a piece of plastic/cardboard that just keeps bending and hurting the top of my big toe while walking. Not sure why it doesn’t “stay in place” or “hold its shape”.Bummer.
