The 5-gallon vacuum pot is not true and will not seal. The pump works fine. The problem is the pot is not true, when I set the pot upside down it rocks and does not sit flat. I tried to contact the seller but good luck there. Amazon on the other hand, was stellar, they got busy and ordered a new complete unit. 5 stars to amazon. I don't understand any company that doesn't have even a basic quality assurance to verify that is seals.

Decent option as an entry level set up, definitely not perfect. The pump is definitely lacking power, usually it takes 15-30 minutes before getting close to an adequate a vacuum. In that time, you can expect the pump to burn off a lot of vapour so definitely use in a well ventilated area. Okay option on a budget but definitely worth getting something else if you can afford it.
