I purchased this winch about 6 months ago for placement on a 20 foot gooseneck trailer. The old winch was shot but I had the mounting brackets. I bought a new steel plate to reinforce the connection and drilled some new holes for mounting. I have pulled up 4 vehicles all of which had badly rusted wheels to the point they didn't roll. I drug those vehicles up onto the trailer with this winch. Yes, I had to give it a rest quite a few times, but it did the job eventually. I also pulled up a 12,000 lb tractor. I do have two heavy duty deep cell batteries hooked together as the power supply. Highly recommend!

for an inexpensive winch, it appears to work. some thoughts that are concerning: I order the one with the wire (not nylon rope). When it arrived, the box said it was nylon rope (even the picture on the box). However, it was the wire model in the box. Also, most concerning: the control box is open on the back side- no seal or rubber piece to keep water etc from getting in and corroding the circuit board etc. Even the cheap one I was replacing had that feature. Remote has a built in battery that recharges when you use the proprietary wired cord. It also came with a second battery (assumed it was an extra for the remote, I didn't take the remote apart to confirm). Overall, know what you're getting.

So I installed this winch (13.5K) on a front hitch mount on my 2020 F350 SD - everything looks good and functions properly - the winch by all appearances seems to be very tough and well made. My test pull was just done in the driveway and not in an actual off-road situation, so take that for what it is worth. I ordered my unit with a steel cable as it will be stored in my truck bed under a metal roll-up cover and I don't want a synthetic cable that will deteriorate with the heat build-up in the bed. As far as the cons there were a few but they are minor...(1) the 4 holes on the control box that sits at the top of the unit did not line up and had to be drilled out with a slightly larger bit which is something they should just do from the get go at the factory. (2) the battery cables need to be a bit longer as they barely reach the trucks batteries - I have dual batteries and had to run the positive to one side and the negative to the battery on the opposite side of the truck as both cables would not reach a single battery - another 2-3 feet of cable would be nice and would make for a cleaner lay-out and allow for closing the hood and actually being able to drive while the winch is mounted on the front hitch - for this reason alone I will only give it 4 stars instead of 5. (3) it would also be nice to have a pair of clamps to allow quick attachment to the battery rather than having to screw the cables to the battery terminal posts. SO RUGCEL IF YOU ARE LISTENING - add clamps and some extra wire and you just solved #2 and #3 above at the same time. Basically I have done this myself with readily available parts but it should have come this way from the factory.

Missing the leash, bolt holes for the top module don’t line up, bolt holes for the power disconnect don’t line up and the disconnect seems very cheap, only time will tell on how the winch holds up

This is the sorriest piece of s*** winch you could ever buy. Customer service well I guess I could say there is no customer service and once it's out of Amazon warranty they won't get back to you. They do not have a phone number to call All you can do is email them and they will not respond.

got the 13k with the steel cable, no phone number to call if there is a pronlem, bout the mounting bracket to, mine came with 4 roller bars where the cable winds bck up on the winch, but with theire mounting bracket, you can just bolt it on, you need to re drill new holes, not very good instructions in my opinon, be nice if they were a little more detailed, dont know how it works, just got it mounted today, wire it tmrw, we are mounting it on the back tailgate of a big dump truck, guess if it was going on a bumper it would be a easier task, little disapointed in it so far

Winch works great used it a couple times to unload cars off a trailer holds weight pulls it no problem. Cheap winch I’ll be buying more for future projects 👍🏻 Don’t worry about name brand winches…Look into information Warn and all those upper quality are all made in China now so it’s not worth the sticker price. This works just fine comes with all you need to mount and bolt up I did it in 45 mins. Wireless controller has good range too came with extra batteries as well 👍🏻👍🏻
