Review: Great brushes - I like these for the fact that they are easy to clean! They hold paint well while completing the job , but slides off while cleaning. The bristles stay in place and don’t stray out the sides like a lot of brushes. They are super soft and true to size. Fair price for what you get. I will keep these in mind the next time I need more brushes.

**Q: can these be used for acrylic paints on canvas?**
A: Yes

**Q: Can these brushes be used for varnishing?**
A: You could and I have to apply base coats. I throw away rather than clean the brush and use a quality brush for final coat which I do clean.

**Q: can these be used for oil based paint? or just for water based paint?**
A: Yes. But as for any brush on an oil based product, it is best to dilute the paint with mineral spirits first to minimize brush marks.

**Q: What is the % of polyester/nylon filaments?**
A: Not on packaging or website so I don't know. You can email their support and maybe they will tell you. Sorry I can't help more. They are a great "cheap" brush for water based paint.
