Buck Apex vs Kershaw Reverb
Couldn't make up my mind, so I ordered both.Build Quality - Buck: Both look very good to me. The experts say the buck has better materials, including a higher quality steel. Who am I to say different? They are extremely close in every visible aspect.Sharpness - Kershaw: Both came sharp. Both are acceptable but the Kershaw is noticeably sharper.Price - Kershaw: $22 vs $30Size - Kershaw: This one is subjective. You may appreciate the beefier Buck. I wanted an EDC and the Kershaw is slightly shorter and slight narrower. The clip is also shorter and positioned on the same end as the carabiner. It just fits my pocket better and is the one I am carrying today. The Buck is going to my son...who is also very happy. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with either one.

Nice little blade that won't take up room in your pocket
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Nice little number, it is a bit small but perfect for light everyday tasks like opening boxes. One nice thing is it's weight: you can barely feel it in your pocket. Some have complained about it being tough to open with one hand due to the size but it's made to be pulled from being clipped in your pocket and flipped open by holding onto the blade then letting the handle slide down into your hand. It only took a minute of practice and the motion became natural.Overall it looks stylish, and is definitely sharp. If you are looking for something that isn't bulky or intimidating, yet still useful and manly, I highly recommend it.

A great little right handed slim and lightweight knife.
I really like the Buck Apex design. I liked my first one so much I bought the other two models. This is a right handed knife, sorry Lefties. You can open it left handed, but it requires some finger gymnastics which I would not recommend. I took the pocket clip off as I do with all my knives. I do not like advertising that I have a knife and also wearing the top of my pocket. Without the clip it is even slimmer. The elongated hole that presents the blade felt sharp to the touch, but after 50 openings and closings, it did not cut or make my thumb sore. The purple model is not as bright a purple as the photo on Amazon's website shows. I plan to give this knife to all my friends who don't carry a knife. Did I say I really like this knife?Update 4/12/17 - I emailed Buck to let them know how much I liked this knife series. They express their thanks and recommended I check out their Vertex folder that is similar. The blade is 3 inches long and is a different profile as shown (upper red handle) in the enclosed photo. The best part is it is made in the USA! They come in Black, Blue and Red Aluminum and come with full serrated or plain blade. Check my review on the Vertex folder.

Carried every day for last 14 months
*I carried this every day for the last year. This is a great cheap knife. This knife came sharp out of the box and also sharpens well after time. Holds an edge OK. The liner lock is in a cool spot and I never had any issues with mine, It held the knife open fine, and I never felt like I was going to cut myself when closing. also, +1 for bottle opening carabiner! I used that at least a dozen times. It's a great non-threatening knife to pull out in an office enviornment or in public if you worry about that kind of thing. The coating is very good and my blade shows 0 signs of wear or scratches after being used for a whole year. Great Knife!

Not bad
wasnt sure how well built it would be at first, however its relatively solid, not perfect. But the actual design, weight and utility is by far the best knife ive bought in a long time. No frills, ultra light and decent looking IMO. i might buy another color now just to have a few if they ever get discontinuedUpdate: one of them became extremely loose in a few weeks of light use. It wobbles so freely I have a bad feeling the carbon fiber version may not be as secure. The Kershaw variant was waaaaaay sturdier. I'll hand on the other I have and see if there's an issue. Bummer bucks design overall is great just not very sturdy

Great replacement for Buck Flashpoint
A great and light edition to my collection for everyday carry. I was looking for something to replace my Buck Flashpoint. This knife is substantially lighter and thinner. It's so thin, I often forget to take it out of my pocket. But it doesn't feel flimsy at all. The only thing it didn't have that the Flashpoint does is the sarrated blade and a button press to open.

Awesome knife!
I bought this knife to hang from my climbing harness while climbing and rappelling. The carabiner on the end of the knife easily connects and disconnects to my harness. This knife also has a low profile clip on the back that can be used to attach to a pocket. I can open and close the blade easily using one hand, which is important during an emergency when rappelling and climbing. The entire knife as a whole is very attractive and the blade is very sharp. It is great quality for the low price.

I really like this knife a lot
I really like this knife a lot. It's small, lightweight and ridiculously sharp right out of the box. The blade is centered and they action is super smooth. That said, I'm giving it 3 stars because of the feeling of this knife in the hand. It's just not that comfortable. It's very angular and the belt clip makes it even worse (I removed it). This probably won't be an EDC for me, but it will be good for hiking or running.

Perfect lightweight knife
Not much to say about this. It's a beautifully made knife, which opens and closes smoothly. I bought it to be part of my lightweight backpacking system. It really does weigh very little, because of a clever design which leaves holes in the structure. It even has a bottle opener. Unless I lose it, this knife will come with me whenever I travel in future.

Buck B818PP; just what you'd expect from a great name a tried and tested knife that you can trust.
The moment you take this knife from the box you know you've got a great knife in your hand, it feels great, has a really nice balance and design, it's lightweight and it's got a really nice sharp cutting edge. The belt clip, key ring loop and lock mechanism are just perfect.
