The sandal is shaped inside, with raised part in the middle. My husband wears these as he likes to have support and is very pleased with the sandal.

How would you rate them for size if you have a particularly wide foot, and want to wear them with thick socks?

Because of the open toe it is a tight fit for thick socks I found the closed in crocs were plenty wide enough even with thick thermal socks on Hope this helps
