can prescription lenses be put in the frames

The frames are very thin, flexible and uncomfortable with sharp edges on the ear and nose piece. I bought them for part of my Halloween costume and could only wear them for about 30-45 seconds. Took them off and threw them away. You would be better off going to a dollar store and buying their reading glasses. Don't waste your money on these.

What is the lens material, plastic or glass?

They appear to be glass, BUT do not purchase theses are junk and might fit your 3 year old. I will sell u mine for half price

My husband wants these for his costume, but he has a big noggin...would they fit him?

Although they seem small in the picture, they are actually quite large and will fit your husband perfectly. My teenager used the glasses as part of a Teddy Roosevelt costume for her HS American History class, and they went perfect with her outfit. They were large on her and she has a wide face.

would these fit my 6 year old?

yes. My 5 year old son wears them all the time. I got them to go with his Polar Express costume. Very cute.
