MONTECH Century II 850W ATX 3.1 Fully Modular 80 Plus Gold Power Supply

Fantastic power supply. Runs perfectly, new build runs awesome. Installation was the only downside, there is almost no spacing for the ports on the power supply, so some cables are tight to put in with them right next to each other. This, however, is also kind of a plus, because the build looks much cleaner with the cables tightly together on the PSU side. The value proposition on this thing is amazing, the price was great and the quality is top notch. Also, in SPL's PSU Tier List, which extensively tests power supplies for their quality, this PSU is rated A-. That means, it's vetted as a high quality PSU. Summarized, the only downside is a nice design because when everything is said and done things are neat and tidy, the PSU runs whisper quiet, and all of my devices are running great. Montech is a newer company to me but I'm totally pleased and would buy another PSU from them anytime.

I went through 3 other power supplies of a different brand (cough, MSI, cough) and they all had horrible, annoying coil whine. I kept returning them and getting a replacement, thinking I got unlucky. I even tried a slightly different models, all 3 had unbearably annoying coil whine. This Montech Century II is blissfully silent. No coil whine, no fan noise, not a peep out of this thing. It is such a relief to have found an actual QUIET power supply. Not to mention highly rated by experts, all the features you would want, plenty of power, and inexpensive compared to the bigger brands. My only small complaint is that the fit and finish of the cables are pretty basic. They are flat, which is nice, but are just a basic, shiny black plastic. If it keeps cost down, so be it. I'd rather have something that works well and is quiet. This is the one!

The goat of budget power supplies. 80+ Gold rating, 850W, modular cables, 0 RPM setting, and 12VHP all for ~$90. Runs perfectly and really I don't have much to say that other people haven't already mentioned. Fan is not aggressive at all, and damn near dead silent with the 0 RPM mode off. Comes with all the cables I'd need. This PSU puts its money where its mouth is. Planning on using it for a commission build as well as some other personal builds I'm thinking about. [Update] I did end up using it for that commission build, turned out amazing, no SATA power cables broke (unlike my EVGA P5), works amazing for a server PSU.

Very good power supply, has a great power supply rating from professional power supply testers. By far the cheapest, most reliable and safest option that doesn’t hit the bank account Hard.

AWESOME power supply. Has essentially every feature you would want in 2026. Mine is the 850w model. The cables it came with are of fantastic quality. The PSU itself has a switch for smart fan/0 rpm fan if you want that feature, but I haven't heard any loud fan noises from it all. Came with a 450w 12V cable too if I ever decide to upgrade my GPU. There's even a convenient little bag to keep everything in. Also the 10-year warranty is very appreciated. All of this in a well designed package, I really don't know what more you could want from a consumer power supply that this doesn't provide. Also it's nice that it scores around A/A- on the PSU quality tier list. That also gives me a bit of piece of mind.

This is the absolute meta for PSUs. Why spend $150-$200 on PSUs when you cant get over 1000w for slightly above $100? A- on the PSU tier list, Cybernetics Platinum, 80 Plus gold rated. YOU CANT GO WRONG. Installs just like any other power supply so ease of use is the same, its entirely modular so you plug in all the cables into the back yourself which is great for cable management. Its actually smaller than usual for PSUs and its way lighter than you might think. Other people have complained about coil whine but ive never heard any noises coming from mine ever. Ive made 2 different PCs with this PSU and no issues. I will always recommend anybody on any budget go for this PSU.

Works very well and solved my power problem. Comes with lots of different cables. Don't lose them! You can't just plug in a different cable like the older power supplies, they are unique to this power supply. Each plug for the cables is clearly labeled indicating what it is for.

It seems a good power supply for its price. I only have two complaints. The side of mine was slightly caved in (where the silver frame meets the black bottom, it isn't flush). This gave an expensive power supply a slightly cheap feeling, diminishing the purchase experience. The only other thing are the very stiff cables that it comes with. If you are building in a micro atx case, you may struggle to get the cables to bend the way you want in a small case. Overall though, it is not bad for its price. Gets the job done. Time will tell its true quality and longevity.

Great quality well packed by scan and the manufacturer so arrived in perfect condition. All the cables are labeled nicely. No issues with installation, just a shame my case mostly hides the nice design 😀

Best PSU at this price. Unfortunately not available in all black but it doesn't really matter much.

Got this one at sale for 63USD. a steal for a A tier PSU with full Japanese capacitors, 10y warranty, silent fan. I rcm this PSU especially at this sale price. you won't have any better option at this price point.
