This product says it contains strains of bifidobacteria that studies show do NOT produce histamine. (Other probiotic strains such as lactobaccillus do produce histamine.) For people with histamine sensitivity, bifidobacteria can be a better option. This is one of the few products I could find with only bifidobacteria strains. For me, it seems to work. **Q: What strain of b. longum does this include?** A: We used 1714. Thanks for your interest! **Q: How long does it take to see results from this probiotic, and is there an adjustment period?** A: The results will vary depending on every persons symptoms and biology. Some studies have shown good effects for mood disorders but the results are not consistent. You may not notice any effect. A trial of a month should be enough to tell whether the probiotic is doing anything for you. Dont expect a quick result that you might expect from taking a prescription medication. The probiotic is safe and I did not have any side effects from it , unlike Rx drugs. **Q: Top allergen free? Corn, dairy, soy, gluten?** A: Yes, Bifidus Mood Boot is free from these allergens.
