Really Well Made, Nice Fitting Lid, Sturdy Handles
This is really well made. The lid is very snug on the pot and stays put until I need to remove it. The steaming rack is the right size to steam some veggies or buns. I really look forward to giving this a full workout this camping season. It is a nice large size and big enough to make 2 servings or one full all in one meal. The handle is nice and sturdy too. Even full of water I could easily lift and move the pot around and pour from the pot. Nice. The handles stayed cool even when over a larger flame. The black mesh sleeve keeps everything together and keeps it from rattling around in my Stanley lunchbox. I really wish that the mesh pouches were available in other colors- orange, red, or even blue would be easier to find on the ground than black. But black matches everything.

Good, almost great
There is one thing I don't care for about this tin, and that is that the lid doesn't have any way of locking in place, so it can fall off pretty easily. You can see on the lid there is an line dented outward, which you would think was intended to snap into a similar denting on the tin itself, but the tin is smooth all the way around so there is no way for the lid to lock on. This maybe would be OK if this box had the type of handle that folds up over the top, securing the lid. Instead, they decided on a split handle that folds to the sides, offering no such contingency for the lid. Besides that, which I consider a design flaw, the rest is really quite good. The capacity of the tin is really nice, plenty big to cook up a couple nice servings of chow. The metal is thin, but sturdy. The tin has some flex to it, but the lid is pretty solid. Even though I'd rather have an overhead folding handle, the handle design they did go with is strong, the folding action is good, and the rubberized covering is thick and feels comfortable in the hand. As long as you can live with the lid situation, I would recommend this tin. Keep in mind, a good large rubber/silicone band could wrap all the way around the tin, including the handles, securing the whole box, so there is a perfectly reasonable solution to the one issue.
