Jamstik Standard MIDI Guitar (Cream/White)

It is all that my son expected, quality and sound are great

The guitar did not work, it was missing parts. The box said new but I believe it was a returned defective item. I checked with the manufacturer and tried to reset it but It would not charge or reset. I am sending it back.

This guitar exceeded my expectations. Being a MIDI guitar, I did not think there would be much emphasis on neck quality. Much to my surprise, the neck is almost flawless. The frets were smooth and rounded. The action was perfect for me and there was zero fret buzz. Moving on to the MIDI part, it really shined here as well. I always wanted a MIDI guitar I could plug directly into my MIDI sound modules or keyboards. After using the Jamstick Creator to assign the guitar to MIDI channel 1 , I tried the guitar with two Korg modules and a Yamaha Motif. They all connected without any issues. For the first time I can say I did not experience any noticeable latency. The only improvement I would recommend is replace the 3.5mm TRS-MIDI jack to something more robust for live performances. Overall, I Highly recommend!

The Bad: Upon receipt, this guitar was unplayable. The action was so low that every string buzzed. The bass was so overpowering, even on the bridge pickup, that everything sounded like mud. The intonation was miles off. It would absolutely not stay in tune. The fret markers are too dark to be useful. The Good: After a significant amount of setup, it's a really nice axe! Changed the strings to D'Addario NYXL1046. Set the action, adjusted the intonation, pickup height and tweaked the individual poles. What a difference! The 5th fret is a tad high, and needs to be filed, which is beyond my comfort level, but beyond that, it plays beautifully and sounds great. The MIDI tracking is excellent. I've owned the first generation Casio MIDI guitar, the Fishman Triple Play, and now this. The ease of use and tracking of the Jamstik is the best of the 3 by far, with quite decent polyphonic performance. Even running MIDI over Bluetooth, the latency is not bad and, after the initial setup and tweaking, it's very easy to fire up and just play. Bottom line: If you're looking for an electric that also can be a MIDI controller, and you're able to do the setup (or have a tech that can do it for you), I highly recommend this. Just don't expect a player out of the box.

L'ingresso usbc dop 3 volte che attaccate e staccate il cavo non funziona. Io non so se è così per tutte le chitarre ma ne ho acquistate 2 ed entrambe le ho rese per questo motivo.

He recibido el producto tarde y además el conector USB estaba averiado nada más sacarla del embalaje, con lo que el instrumento es completamente inútil ya que no se puede ni cargar. Hace ya diez dias que solicité la devolución y nueve que el transportista pasó a recogerla. Ni una noticia de Amazon desde entonces. Y llevo, desde el dia 9 de abril (dia que la compré) con 1100 euros retenidos en mi tarjeta de crédito, que no me abonarán seguramente hasta el mes que viene (cuando VISA ya me los habrá cobrado). Muy descontento con Amazon esta vez, no se lo recomendaría a nadie...
