Hoopnotica Hoopdance Beginning Level 2

OK, first you had better already know how to keep a hoop swinging around your waist - or you'd better start with their first DVD. I'm pretty good at hooping on the waist, arm and neck - but this was very challenging! If I learn this I can really impress my friends and family :) The main girl (Rayna) is very, very excellent! She moves like a cat- so graceful! I wish I was THAT good. I hope one day to learn all of these techniques. It really is a very awesome DVD. They do show you trouble-shooting steps - although it looks easy, it's not - but that's why you're buying the DVD... to learn and get an awesome workout. I went to their website and I think the hoops are WAY over priced - and most all were sold out. I'd like to see their hoop prices drop and see more hoops sold and not "sold out" on their website. Hoops shouldn't cost $50 - it's a HOOP made of plastic - so come on - sell some quality hoops for way less! Have fun hooping and impressing your friends!

This DVD is amazing, and so is the first one, i would recommend buying them both at the same time. I still havent learned all the tricks from this one but i love it and its def. very helpful with learning new tricks and bonding with your hoop. The Bonus hoop workout on this dvd is my favorite part.

Let's get this out of the way first: I took off one star because of the quality. It's not very good. Everything is clear and I actually appreciate the minimalist approach (no distractnig backgrounds and only one hooper to watch), but the picture is pretty grainy at times and could use some serious touch up. So it isn't a perfect product, but I'm not getting an instructional DVD for the pretty picture quality. Personally, I have a handful of years of experience hoooping. I actually make my own hoops for that purpose, so I went ahead and skipped to the second DVD, which features three things I've been having issues learning: Shoulder hooping, leg/knee hooping, and the vortex (it's not referred to as the vortex on the video, but it's basically a continuous corkscrew they go over towards the end of that section). What I really loved about this DVD was the no frills instruction. They don't make up cutesy fun names. The names make sense and most of the terminology you'll see is the same or very similar as you'll hear in hoop communities and on youtube. This is helpful if you want to reference other videos online in addition to this one, and I suggest you should. Hooping is an art and it can be very different from person to person. You may find another explanation for a move that just clicks with you and helps you finally get something you've been struggling with. In addition, while this is all available for free on youtube, there is the benefit of having the moves neatly organized so you don't have to spend forever trying to figure out what moves you want to learn, in what order, and what they are actually called so that you can find them. I know they tell you not to hoop with the video at first, but I did, for about an hour. I found myself able to pull off and sustain most of the moves I'd been struggling with. There's also a troubleshooting bit after each section that aptly covers the most common problems with each move. The narrator's voice is fairly pleasant and not overly cheerful. There is a small bit after each section that shows one of the women free-styling the moves you just learned, and her expression is a little forced cocky and can be a bit irritating, but that's it. All in all, I was really impressed and felt like a great deal of information was aptly covered. For the price I paid, I think it was extremely worth it and will definitely be purchasing the next DVD.

i did not recieve this item yet . its been weeks since i ordered it. where is it? i,m not able to exersise good with my hoop because i have no directions

A little cheesy at times but this had great tips. It was split up into different sections so I could easily go back to my trick I was learning. The dvd quality was awful though. I have the level 1 dvd and it was much clearer and not as muffled sounding. I feel like mine was a ripped dvd and wasn't the original one. I only got halfway through since it was just difficult to take direction from something that was hard to see or understand due to quality.

I considered trying to learn hooping from YouTube videos, but deciding to order this DVD made a huge difference. It builds a solid foundation for learning fancier moves, and the instructions are thoughtful and concise. Definitely recommended if you've already figured out waist hooping and basic corkscrews.

I have had the first DVD since I bought my first dance hoop over a year ago, and figured that I would give the second one a try. This DVD is horrible! The picture and sound quality sucks. The picture is grainy and the sound is off. I could have made a better DVD in my backyard with my small camera. It is over-priced and they could have fit so much more in one DVD. I am so dissapointed that Hoopnotica would put out such a low quality product.

Great video to exercise with. I do wish I had ordered level 1 first so I could learn the techniques correctly. This is excellent exercise, great fun and a fabulous tummy trimmer. Forget the diet pills, just hoop the middle off. You won't beleive how many things you can do with a hoop and this instruction dvd. Recommended for anyone who wants to have fun and or tone the core.
