We own a bakery so we cook our food out there a lot of the times. There are no children in the house so this was not mistreated. It seems that it’s just a bad design. Hubby suggestion is when you put it together. Make sure to put glue in with each screw so hopefully they won’t be able to pull out and cause a big hole. Overall, is a good value for the price. Took a few days to assemble alone. The foldable part of the countertop came a bit warped and still is after 6 months.
