Great little gadget to go wireless
I bought this wireless CarPlay adapter for myself and it instantly transformed my car’s experience. My wife, who drives a new rental Sonata with built-in wireless CarPlay, was impressed by how seamless the connection was in mine—so I got one for her too. You can see in my photo—the left one is from Woot (also owned by Amazon), and the right one is this new one. This newer unit is much smaller and more compact than the Woot one I previously purchased, which is a nice improvement. It works perfectly with our 2019 Buick Enclave Avenir. Just make sure your car already has wired CarPlay built in—this device doesn’t add CarPlay, it only converts a wired connection to wireless. Connection speed is excellent. Once the car starts, CarPlay shows up automatically without any action needed. I originally paid around $65, and now it’s down to $39… so a bit of a bummer on timing.

Stopped working within 6 months
I’ve been using this since August 2025 and unfortunately it no longer works. The connection started off fine. I would start my car and my phone would connect after a few seconds. But then it started to disconnect a minute or 2 after connecting and it would reconnect a couple of times before it stayed connected. Now it doesn’t connect at all and the screen just stays on the connect screen the whole time. I’ve tried unplugging, reconnecting, etc but my phone always gives an error message that it’s not able to connect to that Bluetooth device. For the couple of months it worked it was great but the slow decline in such a short amount of time makes this a waste of money.

Great convenience with slight lag
Very easy to set up and it connects automatically when I start the car, which is super convenient. It works well overall and eliminates the need for me to plug in my phone. There is a slight but noticeable lag, which is why I gave it four stars instead of five. still a good upgrade for wireless CarPlay.

Perfect Solution
Amazing - would give it 20 stars if I could. Everything the others said and more. I have CarPlay and it would work for everything except my navigation which, I needed to have my phone plugged in for that to work. When the phone was plugged in navigation worked but the other functionality did not. This device was a game changer. Set-up was easy, it auto connects as soon as I get in the car. It does not interfere with phone or texts. I have experienced no lag time - I did experience the screen going into night time mode during the day occasionally and I have experienced one time where the navigation didn't re-route me properly when I took a different turn but a quick unplug and replug and back in business. All in all it serves the purpose. It's small and sleek and is not obtrusive on your console. Only had it a week so time will tell but for the price it was well worth it.

Initial connection issues but works good after that
I researched quite a bit before purchasing one of these, and it seems that none of them are perfect. This is true of this one as well. At first it worked almost flawlessly, but became increasingly glitchy the longer I had it. My biggest gripe is that in order for my Amazon music to play through my car stereo, I have to unplug and replug it back into the usb port nearly every time the vehicle is turned off. Having more than one phone paired with it makes it even more glitchy with connectivity issues and freezing up on screen upon starting the vehicle. Once connected, it does work very well. It’s just that initial connection upon startup that is annoying. My main reason to get this was to not have to plug the cord into my phone every time I got in the car. I guess I traded that for plugging the cord into the car. If you’re willing to work past these initial startup issues, you will like it.

No more disconnecting from CarPlay!
We’ve been using this wireless CarPlay adapter for a month now in my wife’s car, and it’s been a total game-changer. Her car doesn’t support wireless CarPlay, and the charging cable she had been using would constantly disconnect and reset CarPlay — super frustrating on every drive. This device fixed all of that instantly. Setup was incredibly easy — just plug it into the USB port, wait a few seconds, and pair it once with your phone. That’s it. Since then, it connects automatically within seconds every time she starts the car. We haven’t experienced a single disconnect or delay, and everything — music, navigation, voice commands — works just like it would with a wired connection. ✅ Pros: Simple, plug-and-play setup Fast and consistent connection No more cable frustration Compact and doesn’t clutter the console ⚠️ Cons: None so far — it's done exactly what it promises If your car doesn’t have wireless CarPlay and you’re tired of fighting with a cable, this little adapter is 100% worth it. Highly recommended.

Works, but Not Well Enough
I've used this with my 2022 WRX for the past 2 months. It's alright, but it's not great enough to recommend to others. I expected some delay since this uses Bluetooth tech, but the delay is very noticeable even for someone who is not an audiophile. When I press skip or previous button, the song would show up on the infotament screen 1 second later, and it will start playing 3 seconds after. This delay makes it very annoying to go back to previous songs. I would have to go back and forth several times to land on a song I want to listen to again. I can live with the delay, but it would randomly disconnect at least once a week, and I seem to experience this more often lately. It would completely disconnect Apple Carplay and reboot which takes about 40-60 seconds. It can get frustrating sometimes when I'm enjoying a song...I've had this happen multiple times when I was using Apple Maps on an unfamiliar road. I was fumbling with my phone to turn it on and look at which exit I need to take after it disconnected. I touched the device when it disconnected- it's not running hot or anything so I don't know what's causing this issue. I like how this unit comes with double sided tape and USB-C adapter, but the reliability is questionable- mediocre functionality at best.
