32SA Rotor

I've purchased other gear drive sprinklers in the past, and have been very disappointed. They flip back and forth so fast, there's no time for the water to settle in. These Rain Bird 32SA's do the trick! They oscillate at a much slower speed than others I've tried, and the price is reasonable. Had to do a little adjusting with the arc, which is simple the way they're designed. The spray will come out of the sprinkler head the distance they're designed for. If you want 30', you'll get a hard spray that reaches 30'. I wanted ours to do more misting for soaking. All you need to do is tighten the little screw where the water comes out for more misting, and loosen the screw for distance. Took less then 10 minutes to set the arc and the spray. Overall, more than pleased. Great design.

These spray far enough that 2 of them would cover our whole yard. Install and adjustment is straightforward using just a small flathead screwdriver for both settings. We had to shorten the spray slightly to avoid hitting the house. These are quiet and reliably retract back into the shell quite a bit better than basic fan style sprinklers.

So, there is no need to pay $100 for a simple rotor fix.

We have a sprinkler septic system, and these tend to snap off really easy. Good thing is they are cheap to replace. This is my 2nd time replacing the sprinkler heads. This time my lawn mower guy ran them over lol, the first time not real sure what happened, but the tops of them were broke off. It could have been numerous of things. We had no choice but to have this septic system. They work great, they do not seem to be cheaply made. All though I do not know anything about septic systems. If you have to have this type of sprinkler system, I would go this route. It is easy to install, easy to replace, and it is cheap if you do have to replace one.
