Love these puzzles! Very challenging yet solvable!

Love these books.

Lots of good crossword puzzles, challenging, and none are of the easily-solved type. Exactly what I wanted. This was the Mega #14. I had purchased the Mega #13, so expected the same quality, and got it. Nice perforated pages, which I use a lot. Don't hesitate to buy this one, you will love it. Price was great too.

I think the Simon and Schuster crossword books are my favorites series. They are clever, challenging, but still possible. Most of the time, if I can't figure something out, and I look up the answer I understand the answer. This edition, though, more than any other one, sometimes the answer did not make sense. Sometimes I would even search the answer on the internet and it could not tell me what it is. It is still a good collection. But, if this will be your first experience with a Simon and Schuster book, I would pick a different edition.

I purchased this for my father as a Christmas gift, who is an avid lover of crossword puzzles. He enjoys crosswords that have a higher level of challenge and this was perfect! While searching for a book to get for him, it was important to me that I find one with enough content to keep him busy for a while - as he tends to go through them very quickly, as well as trying to avoid a book with puzzles he might have already done in the past. I have since purchased quite a few of the Simon & Schuster crossword puzzle books for him, and they always deliver! He has never been disappointed and often comments on how much he enjoys them! The larger print is great for him, and the variety in the range of difficulty is fantastic! If you are debating on the quality of these crosswords I can honestly say that I highly recommend this and other crossword puzzle books from Simon & Schuster!

For serious puzzle-solvers, a lot of these will seem too easy...but they serve a purpose: if you have places where you need something to keep your mind busy while you wait, take a few of these. Perfect and far better than staring at your phone.

Simon & Schuster consistently publishes the best crossword puzzle books and this one is no exception. I've bought most of the "Mega" series over the years and always enjoy them. The puzzles are challenging and not for beginners, but workable for someone with experience.

I am used to doing a local daily paper's puzzle. This puzzle book is more challenging because it does not indicate if the answer is multiple words or if it is just a long word. Most blocks are multiple words. It is probably good for good solvers, but it was not as fun for me. Perforated pages are great for taking some on the go, but answers are all in the back of the book and printed small (20 puzzles per sheet), so you have to match the correct pages if you want to check the solutions while traveling. I would have preferred having the answer sheet after every 4 puzzles or so, in large print.

These are awesome books and getter harder to find. I take these on holidays, and they keep me entertained.

A puzzle book

I love this book. I started doing the puzzles as soon as I got it. The puzzles are challenging but not so hard that you get stuck after only knowing a couple of clues. At first I didn't care for the fact that the pages were perforated because I wanted to keep the book intact but it's much easier to work with the pages out of the book.
