We looked for a replacement/backup battery for our Dyson V12 Detect Slim cordless vacuum cleaner about a year ago and couldn’t find anything-even on the Dyson home website. Our original battery wasn’t holding a charge as long as it used to. This replacement batter had mixed reviews, but we took a chance. So far, we are very pleased with it. Appearance is identical to our original battery, it fits the charging station and the vacuum. When plugged in, it already showed it as about 83%. It also has the little blue light on the side showing when it is in the dock charging.

So far, so good. Fits perfectly, and works. Very happy.

Unfortunately this battery doesn't work for me well after a couple months. Worked fine at first, but then now it will not work after being left charging or off the charger for a couple days. Seemingly claims to have full charge, but then will not even turn on unless recharged again a couple days later. This doesn't happen with my OEM battery.

This battery would not charge with the charger that came with my Dyson. Same voltage but does not take a charge. LEDs do not light up and the display would not show anything charging. Amazon refused to replace it. Zero stars, buyer beware.
