Very impressed. This is a solid cable modem and up to date. While I'm not an expert, this replaced my previous ARRIS and it's an improvement. Speeds are solid, set up was easy, although boot up time did take a bit, but that's expected. But it works fantastic with our internet and it's better than anything you can rent from them. No issues with it after a few months. You won't be dissappointed

I have only had this Modem for 48 hours, so this is a preliminary review. I have been a Cox Communications customer for over 20 years. The only problem I had with setting up this Modem was that the first customer service representative I spoke with did not properly save the HFC MAC ID number. So, initially there was no internet and this particular representative scheduled an appointment for a technician to come out. The next morning I called Cox back and spoke to an entirely different representative who caught the error, and now the Modem is up and running. I have only 1 Gigabyte service at the moment, but that is more than adequate for my needs. I have the router ethernet cable plugged into the 1G port. The Modem works just great. I am now able to access a website that is monitored by Cloudflare that I was not able to access with the previous outdated Modem. For the first 48 hours, I can say my internet connectivity and website access have considerably improved. Only time will tell how reliable this Modem really is. I believe it was a worthwhile investment - no more paying rent to Cox, and the Modem is "future proofed" for 2.5 Gigabyte service. I am thankful the second Cox representative was able to resolve the internet connectivity problem resulting from the incorrectly saved MAC ID number. If the conditions surrounding this Modem change, I will edit the review.

I recently upgraded my modem to improve my upload speed, opting for this model based on positive reviews. This modem has performed well, allowing me to reach my current upload cap of 150 with ease. My download speed sits comfortably at 400, a task both this modem and my previous one handled without any issues. My internet service provider is Comcast/Xfinity.However, one aspect to be mindful of is its tendency to run quite hot. The metal connector of the cable can become hot to the touch, raising concerns about potential overheating issues. While the passive cooling system keeps operations silent, I can't help but wonder if a fan would have been beneficial to prevent any heat-related issues in the long run.

i Had to buy this after the firmware update on my Cm3000 made that modem unreliable but with this modem it hasnt slowed down yet i can actually log into it and everything works the way its supposed to ive only had this a day but i can tell the difference already i have spectrum and my latency is lower on every level but my speeds are almost identical to the cm3000 i purchased this in like new condition here because i couldn't find it anywhere else it came in the og box with the og paperwork and manuals and cables i did do a reset on it when i had it activated because someone had changed the login credentials but thats easy as of right now it hasnt turned off due to heat and is going strong hopefully this S34 lasts longer than the cm3000 with bad firmware
