Very Large With Lots of Room
I'd avoided ordering one of these for years because they seemed expensive for what it is. Found it on Amazon with a better price and decided to try it out. I'm so glad I did. This thing is huge. It's roughly 47" tall and about 12 1/2" in diameter. There's lots of room inside this thing for whatever you want to protect from the elements. It's all plastic construction and has a screw-on, gama-type lid with an o-ring seal. On top of that screw-on lid there's a plastic lid that fits over the whole end. I'd think with some waterproof tape or something similar this tube would be impervious to moisture getting inside.I have several things I need to store inside it just to keep them safe from moisture but I don't intend to bury it. I have no doubt that if you did want to place it underground it would keep things nice and dry. I plan to toss in a few silica packets for a little extra protection. All in all I'm very pleased with this container.

Excellent tube.
So the trick to this is digging two holes. One for the tube, and one for you to work in while you dig the other hole. Buried mine with an e-tool in red clay mud, digging doesn't get much harder but I got it done. It's a great tube and I've had stuff buried in it for over a year now and it has held up well. Just realize it's very big, nearly man sized big.

Perfect burying…..baseball bats?
Large enough to hold many long and short scary things. Material is thick and strong. The lid provides a tight seal with a sturdy cover over that one.Very nice product. I only wish I hadn’t lost mine in a boating accident. Or was it stolen? I forget. Apparently that’s a common occurrence.

IS NOT WATERPROOF
11/12 update: manufacturer reached out to me and provided a label for refund. Since the capsule was full of water when I unearthed it, I had to pry it out of the ground (I am a strong woman but I needed leverage and have no help), and it was damaged in the removal. The manufacturer stated they’d still issue the refund as long as I returned it. Still awaiting the refund. Will update. This product is not waterproof. I had it buried for a few weeks and my highly valuable contents inside, both of financial and emotional value, were immersed in water. I could barely get it out because it was so heavy. DO NOT BUY!

It's bigger than you think -- and REALLY hard to bury.
Before you buy this, you might have a really good plan on how to bury it. I tried horizontally and it ended up turning into a big hill in order to cover the whole thing up. Even then, the top was barely covered and would eventually become exposed. You'll need to rent a digging post tool and bury it vertically. Then, give yourself a lot of room to get the cover off. This tube is really big. You can fit 3 AR's in it with plenty of room to spare for other items. If you want something that will fit just 1 rifle and 1 handgun, get a smaller tube. The quality was fine. There are two lids -- one screw on and a thick cap that goes over the screw on. There is also a rubber ring that makes the screw-on water resiliant. If it's vertical then the water will go over and around the inner ring. It should last many many years.

A person may or may not
Be able to stuff approximately 120,000 dimes in this puppy with very little room to spare.Wishing I too hadn't had got into that horrible boating accident where I lost all me dimes and lead flingers .....all those pretty shiny things just sitting down at the bottom of the river.... Staring.... almost like they are laughing. Oh well. Destiny.

It's big and well built
First, I've lost all my guns in a boating accident. But before the accident, here's what I found. It will fit 4 ARs with mags easily, (see pic, before boating accident) if you place 4 ARs, stocks down, it will take another 4 barrels down.Shotguns, easily 8+Rifles with scopes. 3 to 4Pistols, 25+You could add ammo, or mags as space fillers.I am looking for storage bags to store guns with corrosion preventative, and doing fit checks... after I find some divers to help find my guns again.
