UPDATED REVIEW: HALLY customer service reached out to me after I left my original review, they were very helpful and fixed my issue. While this product didn't work for me, their customer service is great. 👍 ------- I purchased "Dark Mode". I applied to my un-dyed/natural level 7 medium blonde hair for the recommended time and I saw no noticeable change in color. It was easy to apply, however it did not perform as I expected. Perhaps the other colors work better but I don't plan to repurchase. Unfortunately there is no return option available.

During the application, I was thinking this product was literally perfect. I almost purchased another color during the short wait after applying it, but, unfortunately, I had a negative reaction. I was 6 years old the first time I used temporary hair dye, so I’m no novice. In high school and my first year of college, I dyed my hair on a weekly/ biweekly basis, which included lightening and processing my almost black hair first. I often didn’t wait a full 24 hours between lightening sessions, all of which I did myself, using professional/ salon supplies. I recently lightened my hair for the first time in about 13 years. The last time I had bleach-blonde hair was when I was 19 and the last time I used drug-store boxed dye was when I dyed my hair back to my natural color, so that I could grow my hair out and have healthy, untreated hair. Recently, I lightened a skunk/ split-dye streak using 3 boxes of lightener. Although I wanted half to be dark and half to achieve white-blonde, only about 1/4 lightened to the level I wanted and the other 1/4 was patchy auburn calico, which I wasn’t happy with. I will say that this dye worked quickly and was permanent. I had minimal mess and was happy with the outcome. It was definitely less harsh and smelly than regular dye, but I had about 24 hours worth of sensitivity to the smell and itchiness. This was most likely due to my personal skin allergy to hydrogen peroxide, though, but it didn’t happen immediately, so I can’t be sure. Although I won’t be using it again, this brand is definitely worth buying instead of regular boxed hair dye!

I have been wanting to dye my hair blonde for a pretty long time so I did some research about this product and it was pretty good so I decide to buy it my hair is a dark brown so I didn’t really think this was gonna work because on the box is showed for dark brown that it didn’t really have much color and I am looking for a blonde blonde so when I tried it out I was thinking this probably isn’t gonna really work so when I tried it I did all the instructions and It turned my hair lighter which I’m really happy about I can understand that it didn’t turn blonde because I didn’t get the bleach one because I’m not ready for that yet but I’m really happy with what I got this is great for children and if you have sensitive skin it’s also great because I haven’t broken out and none of my hair fell out I would recommend to buy this product if you’re looking for a lighter shade in your hair

Did not get rid of my grey hairs. Feel I wasted money and time.

Update: I did contact the company by email and they responded. They did offer a full refund saying they have never had this issue. No more hair loss after the first wash and I do like the color. I have natural blonde hair. My winter blonde is darker and summer is at times almost white due to the sun. I don’t chemically treat my hair, I don’t even own hair spray. I read and followed all instructions. When I rinsed and shampooed/conditioned, I had a huge amount of hair that just FELL OUT. As far as the color, meh… I could take it or leave it. The darker areas turned more brassy yellow, Barbie hair color, and my ends turned white. I am 55 so I do have white and some grays naturally. My most disturbing problem is the hair loss and I am wondering how much more will I be losing!? I contacted the company and haven’t heard back. They did send a automated email back saying their work hours and the link to the page to watch tutorials and FAQ. First of all I did that before I used the product and it’ it would be too late now for that anyway. I won’t be reusing this in the future.
