We enjoy our new desk! The materials are more sleek and modern and fit well in our space. Many compliments already on the style. Now that it's assembled, it's great! I do wish the desk was a little deeper on the desktop as we are having to get laptops instead of desk top computers, keyboards and large monitors, so that they take up less space on the desktop area. Also wish we had hanging draw files hardware for the door/cabinet. And wish the side shelf was also a little deeper to fit items on the shelf. Even large books hang over. But we still love the desk and are making it work. We just have to purchase extra unexpected items to make it flow better. Challenging assembly could have been avoided. Not so easy to assemble because of back instructions. The included paper/email assembly instructions were challenging. There could have been more detailed explanations of instructions or even video links instead of extremely tiny pictures/graphics. Cheeping out on just one page of instructions caused extra time and frustration. Also, brackets are very much needed as you go because it's not very sturdy during assembly. Ours collapsed a couple times. Nothing was mentioned about where to put them. So we chose ourselves based on experience. We were afraid to use them at first because we were not sure it was going to be needed later. (again, better instructions would have avoided this) Once we shifted to this we were humming along. We just wasted time before that. All in all, we are happy with our desk and feel it will last a while.
