5 stars as a sleep aid. Would definitely watch again - Kids love it.
Went to see A Minecraft Movie in the cinema and I can honestly say it delivered exactly what I needed: The best hour and a half sleep I’ve ever had. The seats were comfy, the lights were off, and the surround sound gently carried me into a deep, peaceful slumber like a £15 bedtime story. At one point I woke up, saw something blocky happening on screen, nodded like I understood the plot, then immediately went back to sleep. It was such a top-tier cinema nap that I’ve now ordered it for home to try and replicate the experience. If I can recreate that level of sleep on my sofa, this film’s basically a wellness product. If you’re looking for: a film to keep you on the edge of your seat ❌ a gripping story ❌ a top-tier cinematic nap ✅✅✅ 5 stars as a sleep aid. Would definitely watch again (and by “watch” I mean “hibernate aggressively”).

Loved the film but the quality was shocking
I don't understand what went wrong, I contacted customer service but they couldn't help. The quality was awful, I rented this in 4k and it played in 1992 definition, I tried it in numerous devices, and I know my internet was fine, I just couldn't get it in 4k at all, seems to be an ongoing problem with my prime since the ads started, it's freezes the prime apps and 4k device as soon as one starts.

A Blockbuster Built from Pure Bedrock Banter
If you had told me a few years ago that I’d be emotionally invested in a pixelated cinematic romp where Jack Black plays a block-headed hero and children cheer when Creepers explode — I’d have asked what you’d been digging up in the Nether. But here we are. I watched The Minecraft Movie, and it was fantastic. Jack Black is absolutely in his element. Like a diamond pickaxe in the hands of a veteran player, he chisels out every moment with chaotic precision and cartoonish charm. This role fits him so perfectly you'd swear it was tailored from enchanted leather armor. He sings, he quips, he flails like a Redstone contraption gone haywire — and somehow, he also makes you care. About Steve. About blocks. About a square chicken riding a pig. I loved it so much I did what any respectable, fully-functioning adult man with a mortgage and a suspiciously extensive LEGO collection would do — I bought it on Amazon Prime Video. Yes, bought it. I can now access it anytime, anywhere. Middle of the night? Boom. Need background noise while I alphabetise my spice rack? Blocky brilliance. Do I tell people I bought it for my kids? Of course I do. Do they believe me? Let’s not ask follow-up questions. Am I going to get a Minecraft t-shirt? Probably not. I draw the line at wardrobe integration (for now). But will I keep rewatching this bizarre, pixel-powered epic while pretending it’s all for the children? Absolutely. The film itself is like someone dumped an energy drink into a crafting table and let it render. It’s loud, colourful, anarchic, oddly touching, and 100 percent self-aware. The humour is part slapstick, part surrealism, with enough nostalgia and clever nods to make older fans chuckle while their kids launch popcorn at the screen. So yes, critics might have grumbled something about plot holes or tonal chaos — but I was too busy grinning like a ghast in a lava jacuzzi to notice. The Minecraft Movie isn’t just good; it’s a joyful fever dream of pixels and punchlines, and I’m completely here for it. In conclusion: Jack Black - heroic Movie - brilliantly bonkers Me - 100 percent hooked My kids - also probably enjoying it, I think Ten out of ten tamed wolves. Would mine again.
