We went through 3 "natural" brands with a rash and blow outs. This is my second favorite brand but first favorite ethos wise. We now use Believe brand because we don't get blowouts anymore. After quite a few boxes of new born and 1s we did NOT have a diaper rash but these can blowout. Our baby is a petite girl. She got on the new born at 9lbs and now the 1s at over 10lbs. I read some had blowouts with this brand so I assumed it's not the diapers but rather the baby body shape and duration the baby remains in the dirty diaper. We use around 10 diapers each day. Our daughter was having blow outs nonetheless. I LOVE how natural these are compared to other brands but there is something with the leg edges and back that needs improving. Please redesign and we'll be your testers!

Having become indoctrinated into the world of moderately granola dads, I care a LOT about avoiding nontoxic ingredients -- beyond food ingredients and cookware, that means avoiding plastic / synthetic things wrapped around our twin baby girls, whenever possible. So of course that means glass bottles only, natural rubber pacifiers, organic mattress, cotton/wool clothes and sleep sacks only. We have ALSO been using cloth diapers, which is definitely the "greenest" diapering option possible, but this became unsustainable once we got into the sleep training phase -- our night nurse advised us we needed to switch disposable diapers at night, if we don't want babies drenched in urine over the course of that 12 hour overnight sleep we are striving towards. (Wet baby is more likely to wake up, disrupting the sleep training, etc). We also have had to take the sleep training extra seriously, given our hands are full with two newborns. After a lot of research, it was ultimately clear that HealthyBaby is the best disposable diaper option on the market if you care about baby safety -- check out mommy bloggers like Mamavation and GimmeTheGoodStuff for an overview of PFAS detection, a thorough ingredient audit, etc. HB is doing the most amount of 3rd party testing (EWG etc) as far as I can tell, and HB discloses their entire ingredient list, so you can really verify line-by-line how nontoxic this is. The packaging comes in paper (not plastic wrap), and HB is a certified B Corp. We are still combo diapering (cloth diapers by day; HealthyBaby disposables by night). Although all disposables feel like a treat when you're comparing to cloth diapers -- I do find handling the HealthyBaby diapers is quick, and getting the tabs on is really seamless. The HB diapers have handled blowouts well, we haven't had any noticeable leakages. Importantly, we've never had any diaper rashes, or visible discomfort from our girls. I am also using the HB cleaning concentrate for all our bottle cleaning, and their wipes -- all is good.

I bought these thinking they would be a better diaper for my baby. Unfortunately, they fail to do one of the main things a diaper should do: catch poop. I’m not sure if it’s just a sizing thing, but every time my baby wears one of these diapers, we have a blowout situation. Baby started around 6lbs, so at first I thought they were just too big. But now that we are closer to 9lbs, I think either they just don’t work for our baby or there are some inherent design flaws that require a complete outfit change with every poop. Things worth mentioning: we’ve only tried newborn size in these diapers, which apparently work up to ten pounds, which is a milestone our baby hasn’t reached yet. Every time we put any diaper on our baby, we make sure it’s up high enough so there isn’t extra room around the legs, and we reach in to grab the inner and outer leg liner to prevent leaks. These diapers leak every time. The first time we put one on we were befuddled that she peed out the leg. Then we had her first ever blowout out the back, when she was wearing these diapers. I then started to notice a pattern: we only had problems when baby was wearing these diapers. Even with very reasonable sizes poops. Blowouts out the leg are the most common, but we’ve had them out the back and one out the front (she had peed in it first and not sure what happened but it didn’t absorb the poop and it went up the front). We’ve gone through over 400 newborn diapers at this point. We’ve also tried newborn pampers, Millie moon, and earth and Eden diapers—we’ve only had blowouts in these healthy baby ones. Every time our baby poops in them, actually. Every. Time. I thought these would be the only diapers we’d buy for our baby once getting through all the gifted ones, but I ended up returning the unopened box and honestly won’t use the rest of the one we already opened. I feel bad giving them to a friend to be honest. It’s not worth the mess. I like a better-for-you diaper but not if it doesn’t do its job.

These are hands down my favorite diapers. They are sooo soft. My little man has sensitive skin and gets rashes from every other brand we’ve tried, but has never had one with these. I also cannot believe how much they can absorb overnight while keeping my boy dry to the morning. The quality is unmatched. I also can’t believe that they are as affordable as they are for the quality. Well worth it when it’s made with clean, eco-friendly materials that keep my baby’s skin happy. I also like the way the waistband stretches to give my baby a snug but comfortable fit. I 100% recommend you give these diapers a try!

They are good quality. My son was born 8 lbs 13 ozs and these were a little small for him compared to other brands I tried, like pura or terra. I think they are going to leak more as he approaches 10lbs, so maybe dont buy too many nb size or if your baby is on the smaller end these will work, otherwise size up. Ill be trying the other sizes as he grows. They seem to absorb well. Had one blow out which might have been from them being too small or that just happens sometimes anyway. These also didnt smell chemically, plus their claims about less toxicity; which is nice for us granola moms.
