Excellent seed mix

This is the best seed mix I can find to make both of my birdies happy, and the vet was super thrilled with it when she saw it in their little travel cage, but as birds are notoriously picky eaters, a LOT of the seeds go untouched. I don't know which ones they're picking out, but they never really eat the larger seeds and instead pick through and go for the little ones and sometimes the sunflower kernels. So, while it's a fabulous mix because they're doing well and have plenty to eat, I wish the mix of seeds was more to their liking. It's not a problem with Volkman's choice, I'm sure--as birds just won't eat what they won't eat--but I can't really give it a full 5-star rating because it's not something I feel I couldn't replace, if I took the time to figure out which seeds they're eating, specifically. I wish the formula was a little more palatable to them across the board. Do anyone's small birds eat the peanuts? Mine are like, "huh?" when it comes to those and the other big seeds.

My parrotlet, my lovebird, and my golden wing parakeet LOVE their Volkman seed mix. They also get the soak and serve, but when I am not able to feed in person and clean out the dishes right away, this is ideal for them. The ONLY dry seed mix my small/medium sized birds will ever get. Very little goes to waste, they really go nuts (pardon the pun) over the flat green pumpkin seeds, but they love it all. This is a wonderful blend and my little birds are glowing. I have a Blue Ringneck, a colorful Lovebird (a mutation-lovely colors) and a lime green Parrotlet. They are in fine feather with the most vivid colors. Thank you for making such a great alternative to the fresh food I prefer. Volkman products are the next best thing to making it or mixing it yourself!

Hard to find this in other stores in fact I only know one that does carry it if they have it in stock my birds love it it's fresh and has lots of variety

I have 2 green cheek conures and they Love this Food Thats all I buy them and they hear the bag and the get excited!! Definitely 5 stars!

This is the only mix I have been feeding my lovebirds. Good quality and nice mix of seeds.
