Rocket League Ultimate Edition - Nintendo Switch

This game is awesome, my stepson already had it and my other son wanted to have it for his switch as well because he had played it and he loved it. I tried to tell him that they can just share the original game, but he loved it so much she wanted to have his own to play all the time!

Great kids game I just gave it to my nine-year-old grandson. It was his birthday this weekend and I just talked to him and he absolutely loves it.

Update: there’s cross platform accounts, so adding back the final star Only four stars because there is currently no sharing of accounts across different platforms. Also, the rocket league community can be quite toxic. The product arrived quickly and has been a blast to play with friends (even if they have a different gaming console or are on pc) I would recommend it. If you are a parent looking to buy for a child, I would recommend looking into the settings and limiting the chat to others in the setting, or at least be aware of the option.

I love this game! it has an online mode which i haven't gotten to try yet because i don't have Switch Online. But it also has some offline modes like split screen multiplayer and season mode. and i love the variety of the arenas and all the custom settings you can spice up your matches with. I also really like all the vehicle customization options, for instance you can put a top hat on your car! so overall 5/5 would recommend. (Actually i have recommended it.)

Came in the mail very fast and ended up being one of my favorite games. You can’t go wrong with rocket league it’s literally like a racing game and a sports game combined. Only downside is I was new to the switch and didn’t know about Eshop sales lmao the day before it came in the mail rocket league was on sale for 9.99 on the eshop but if you want physical copies I don’t think you can find rocket league any cheaper than here.

Rocket League is a great game. Paying $30 more for the Ultimate Edition was a waste of $30. I advise anyone reading this to buy the regular version and spend the $30 on in game content you actually want rather than a bunch of cars/skins you won't ever use.

So I’ll give it a 2. After owning and playing RL on multiple platforms I decided to try the Switch version, especially to get the Nintendo cars. After playing a bit l’m ready to sell it - the Switch is just not up to running RL properly: - Graphics look poor and run slowly even though game is set by default to performance mode versus quality mode - Weather effects are bad compared to other versions. One can disable them to help performance a bit. - The game just seems much slower than other versions of the game, and is less fun to play - Load times, like in other Switch games, are slow. If you play online, other players will be always be waiting for your Switch to load - The Nintendo cars are Switch only. For example, during cross play the Mario/Luigi car will instead show as an Octane on other platforms - what?! The other DLC cars seem to show properly so this just seems to be a Nintendo thing. - On the plus side - Switch controls are actually decent, e.g., pretty responsive - including in handheld mode - so Switch does offer some novelty in terms of a hand held version of RL, but still with the limitations listed above. Overall, RL is good game, but if you have a choice buy it on ANY other system versus a Switch.

This game is a lot of fun! But make sure you have friends, cause it gets boring playing by yourself. I mean, if you don’t have friends you can play online if you have the Nintendo online subscription.

Took a little longer than expected but the package is a great addition to my switch collection. Works great!
