Pretty grand
The tubes are a little smaller than I’d like and I had a hell of a time mixing up the pink I wanted because there isn’t an exact basic 3 color palette of just R, B & Y, each at 100%, you know? Not sure if this was to encourage purchasing additional colors or not, but anyway; the mixing was a trial. Still eventually worked my way to the color I wanted for the shirt I was modifying, and it’s held up really well so far. Will update if that changes! They brushed on nicely with my brushes. I didn’t find the paint either too thin or too thick. I know everyone was complaining about one or the other. It seemed to me like they hit the balance they bad to in order to make it apply effectively and still be spreadable. I’ll admit that it’s not the easiest paint to work with, but I can’t imagine a fabric paint being any easier than this while still having all the other necessary materials properties. Maybe people are forgetting this is a different medium and the consistency to work with paper is inherently something much lighter and smoother; no getting around that. Fabric is super absorbent and often pretty porous depending on thread count and weave. These guys didn’t even qualify what kind of fabric you can use, so they’re casting the net wide in terms of consumer base & use cases. They have to play it a little safe to ensure their product works as well as it can against a crazy variety of materials that all identify as fabric. T’is a great material physics burden! Yet they achieved it, as far as I can tell, pretty admirably. So it’s on us as the users/artists to discover the best techniques for essentially a new medium & not expect it to work *exactly* like other types of paint. For one thing, maybe your fabric has a bit of knap to it or it’s a little fuzzy in a way that was imperceptible till you started trying to paint on it (if washed cotton, for instance). With a lesser paint, you’d be at war with these hairs pushing your lightweight paint all over the place, throwing a toddler fit every time you try to put some paint down in a controlled manner. This paint was heavy enough it crushed the opposition, and went on with very little resistance from errant surface fibers. Super impressive! Nonetheless, the thickness that allows for this takes some getting used to, and I also wanted to make sure that it was distributed evenly across the surface without any lumpy extrusions, with precise edges so it didn’t look home made, and thick enough to wear over time and repeat washings. So I cut stencils out of paper for most of the project and simply painted with a brush over the stencil. This came out way better than expected!! haha Also, I was painting with mauve/pink on a black shirt, and it still held up and was plenty readable and opaque. (Bright mauve was the best “bright pink” I could get after obsessively mixing the available colors) There were a few letters I freehanded with a thin brush like the Ss and those came out surprisingly well. When I had to touch them up, the paint behaved more like oil than latex, in that it didn’t break the surface or thin it out to run repeated brush strokes and build up layers for visibility and strength. One thing that helped here was it dries pretty quickly. You know when you’re painting your fingernails and have to touch up a thin patch but if you don’t wait till it’s 100% dry it looks a cat climbing a table cloth and tearing all the china off with it? There was none of that. It just looked like you added more color. Total control. Very satisfying. Overall, I super recommend these; just wish the tubes were a little bigger and that it came with a nice hot pink. 😂

Looks cute until you wash it
The product itself is good for the price.however, when i finally did the wash (by itself on cold and dried on cool) it completely got ruined and the paint came off but left light stains of the design. idk if i just did something wrong or not but just be careful

I bought these for my daughter as she needed them for her Art GCSE. The colours are vibrant and the paint is thick so they go on easily and smooth. She liked them so much the school ended up buying them as well for the other students to use. She got some on her jumper by accident so I can confidently say they survive a wash really well as that paint is not coming off!

I loved them, I used it to make shirts for my friends for a trip. The shirts have been washed many times and the colors are still there, they were easy to use and I loved the assortment. I made the shirts at the end of August, the color is a little faded but at the same time the shirt has been washed many many times.

Bought these to paint a lampshade and they were very good. Was concerned due to the low cost but would buy again.
