MREs are a popular choice for outdoor enthusiasts and emergency responders as they provide a convenient, self-contained meal that requires no preparation or refrigeration. The 4-pack of MREs I tested was produced by MRE Star and included a variety of entrées, sides, snacks, and desserts. The first thing I noticed about the MREs was the variety of options available. The pack included four different entrées: beef stew, chicken fajita, spaghetti with meat sauce, and vegetarian chili. Each entrée came with a side dish, a snack, and a dessert, as well as a drink mix and utensils. The quality of the food in the MREs was impressive. Despite being packaged for long-term storage, the meals tasted fresh and flavorful. The beef stew had chunks of tender beef and vegetables in a rich, savory broth, while the chicken fajita was seasoned to perfection with a generous portion of tender chicken and crispy vegetables. One of the standout features of the MREs was the included flameless heater, which allowed me to easily heat up the entrées and side dishes with no need for an external heat source. The heaters worked quickly and efficiently, and the meals were ready to eat in just a few minutes. Another great feature of the MREs was their portability. The compact packaging made it easy to transport the meals on the go, and the included utensils and drink mixes made it easy to enjoy a hot meal anywhere, anytime.

I will start off by saying, I don't know what kind of shipping service they used, but kudos to the guy that dropped this stuff off at 10:08pm. Now to the good stuff. I got a good variety out of the 8 that I got. Most were packed in 2015, some went up to 2017. Which is insanely fresh. 2015 is quite young by MRE standards. Depending on the meal, 2012 or older is where I'd start asoing questions, but these guys seem to have pretty new stuff. Mine were all sealed and undamaged. As for the good, these are genuine military MRE's complete with all the components. Generally it will come with an Entree, snack, cracker or tortilla, spread or Jam, a dessert and an accessory packet with drinks. If you do not get crackers or wheat snack bread, it is because if you got a tortilla, that is the replacement for them. Some of them are genuinely very delicious and filling. They are high caloric, high sodium and sugar food items, I would not recommend eating these if you are not active often; I personally use these as emergency meals. Irregardless, this is military food, not Gordon Ramsay pre-made meals. Some are good, and some are bad, and that is no fault of the seller. It is military food, plain and simple. But generally, it's personal taste. As a tip, if these clog you up, eating 4 of the chiclets in the accessory packet will act as a laxative. Now to get the unpleasantness out of the way; The "Commercial Sale is Unlawful" tag on the bag does not apply to you or the seller. It applied to the Military personnel it is issued to. Because it is their free ration, they cannot SELL it, or they can be held accountable by UCMJ. But there is nothing wrong with GIFTING it to someone for free... and maybe collecting some cash later as a "Birthday gift" as a legal way around it. It's completely legal in that manner. All in all, 10/10 from me. Everything is as expected.

Meals came quickly and are genuine. 3/4 frh's did not work but placing pouches into boiling water for about 2-3 minutes worked just as well. I am, however, going to take this opportunity to complain about one of the menu options. The lemon pepper tuna is god awful. I mean truly bad. It's a basic pouch of starkist lemon pepper tuna (albeit with a cute camo design on it), with a one ounce packet of fat free mayonnaise, a one ounce packet of cheese spread, and a package of plain tortillas. It felt less like an mre, and more like a hungover parent packed your elementary school lunch. A hungover parent who clearly hates you. Other than this though, i would recommend this item. The rest was great and i will be buying again!
