Great mineral water with some caveats for the amateur drinker. This is an excellent water for the connoisseur — probably not for the beginner. If you only like the taste of Pellegrino — this is a very different. part of the attraction of different sparkling waters is — they all taste different depending on particular characteristics/qualities of the earth in that region of the world. Pellegrino is a great, crisp, refreshing everyday sparkling water. Gerolsteiner has about 6-7 times the amount of dissolves solids than Pellegrino — which is why many people don't like Gerolsteiner and find it too heavy — and it is like drinking liquid rock in the best way — lots of calcium and magnesium. To give you an idea — Borjomi has 2 to 2.5 times as much dissolved mineral content as Gerolsteiner. And as much as 5-7 times as a bottle of Pellegrino. Content wise — Gerolsteiner has a lot more calcium and magnesium than Pellegrino — whereas Borjomi has a lot more sodium and bicarbonate so that gives it a slightly salty tinge. So, this is a VERY highly mineral water that is not for everyone. However, it is not just salt water — it does have a slightly salty tinge but is it an equivalent to just drinking water with table salt? No. There are some very real benefits to this water but it is not a light crisp water like Pellegrino that you can drink all day. I love Borjomi, it is a terrific water, but (same as Gerolsteiner but even more so), be mindful that you are drinking water with VERY high mineral levels — and be mindful with that. I love Borjomi but you cannot drink as much of it as you can with Pellegrino. It's like comparing whiskey and beer. So, just be mindful of what you are buying. It is definitely not something to be swigged mindlessly all day like you can with some other water. But I do like the taste and I do find it makes me feel good. Just don't expect anything like lighter everyday waters. Expect a minerally taste and a water that has some of the highest mineral content on the market (much higher sodium and bicarbonate) and you will be well prepared.

Borjomi is a very unique sparkling water with a salty, mineral taste that’s different from anything else. At first it can be surprising, but it quickly grows on you and feels refreshing and healthy. It comes from volcanic springs in Georgia and is full of natural minerals, making it great after a meal or workout. If you want more than just plain fizzy water, this is worth trying. It’s even better if you are drinking it from a jacuzzi.

Taste is like carbonated salt water. Price was @ $3 per bottle. Gerolsteiner, Perrier, San Pellegrino are my future go-to's. Extremely disappointed with taste, even more so with price. Undrinkable!
