Review: I decided to try this gourmet dark chocolate sauce after noticing the same brand being used at a local coffee shop. The flavour is rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced; not overly sweet, just a nice deep chocolate taste. A little goes a long way, so this bottle will last me quite a while. I’ve been using it to make mocha coffees at home, and they’ve turned out absolutely amazing, just like something you’d get at a café. Since then, I’ve also noticed this brand at several other coffee shops I visit, which speaks to its quality. Tastes like a high-end product. Highly recommend for anyone who loves café-style drinks at home.
Review: This is the best chocolate sauce! I have tried many different ones and this is the best. I like the Hollander Caramel but Monin Dark Chocolate. Makes great caramel/mocha coffee drinks. Thick but mixes well and not too sweet. Have ordered many times and it comes packaged well with no leaks. My main issue is the Monin pump. I use this just about every day - sometimes skip a few days here or there. Over time, the pump (not included) gets a hardened build-up which makes it harder and harder to dispense. Every so often I just take a fork or something and clean the end. Probably just a normal fault of chocolate sauce which hardens. Not a knock or anything but just an FYI. I cannot take any stars for this as it's the pump not the sauce. -Side note, the old Hollander pumps used to have a rubber tip which 'closed' the tip immediately after use - but the new ones don't. Probably that would have been a good addition to the pump but I digress. The pump includes a detached cap which I should probably use but who wants to do that?

**Q: Please post all of the ingredients for this sauce, and is it guaranteed gluten-free? Thanks.**
A: Ingredient list: sugar, water, cocoa powder (processed with alkali) chocolate liquor, contains 0.2% or less of the following: tartaric acid, mono & diglycerides, potassium sorbate (preservative), salt, natural vanillin.Their website has the product listed as kosher and gluten-free. **Q: Can I use this to make chocolate milk?**
A: Yes. This would make excellent chocolate milk.

**Q: What's the typical expiration time frame for these?**
A: I went through two bottles with the expiration date of 12/14 but the pumps need frequent attention by running hot water over the nozzle or digging out the dried chocolate plugging the hole, or by disassembling the entire pump and cleaning it.  When I leave for a few days, I put the bottle in the refrigerator because of the reviews I had read about mold.  I LOVE the thick sauce but the pump is a high maintenance item (few problems with the caramel sauce pump).

A: No, sugar is the liter ingredient

We found Monin Gourmet Dark Chocolate Sauce at Van Houtte Coffee House in Riviere du Loup, Quebec. We asked the baristas there what chocolate sauce they were using to make such great mochas, and they showed us the 64-ounze bottle with the pump. We ordered it from Amazon and had it shipped to our campground on Prince Edward Island, where we arrived the following week.
