Use the AFE Fresh Air System on a 2001 7.3. Filter is easy to install, easy to clean and oil. This replace an old 5 year old filter. Clean and oil as needed.

Since the early '99 F250 SD 7.3L came out, Ford has changed the filter box and element several times. This filter system updates my early '99 to a better flowing system. Kind of a pain to clean and re-oil, but I can tell the truck breaths better. This is my second one on this truck.
