An enjoyable collection of stories and memories. The book is entertaining and well written, even without the treasure hunt element. There's a strong theme that goes beyond a guy looking for (or hiding) something physically valuable, and delves deeper into the history and character traits that make him who he is. His family bonds, personal challenges, and laser focus on problem solving create an interesting and relatable history. The story reads loud and clear - don't stop at the map's edge. Keep looking. Keep pushing. Keep going. The next big adventure is waiting for the next cartographer.

I a complete sucker for a good treasure hunting book; However, this one is rare. On my brain’s scale, the current market price of this gem does not accurately reflect its value. Justin has a knack for writing in such a way that his feelings and life experiences translate viscerally to the reader. It contains a genuineness that feels like a treasure in its own right. It’s quite comforting for those of us who have experienced tremendous loss. I found myself re-reading chapters therapeutically, not just for the puzzle-solving high or adventure I tend to obsessively crave (though it absolutely has that, if that’s what you’re seeking). Sincerest thanks to Justin for so vulnerably baring his soul to the world. I was 5 years old when my Dad took me and my brother camping for the first time with the cub scouts. It would be a moment that would change my life as I walked through time to the rank of Eagle and found a love for the outdoors and backcountry that left a mark on my soul. Some decade and change later I still have that love but found myself adventuring out less and less. From the show straight to this book, I felt a spark of adventure I havent sensed in years. I have never felt a more powerful draw back into the beautiful American west than now. Fenns treasure once captured my imagination and Justin's treasure has done it again. I have plans to visit a number of beautiful areas this summer regardless of the treasure being found or not and I really would not have done it without this book. As I sit here with my dog recovering from surgery next to me and sharing a name with the author I feel a kindred spirit to his stories. Bottom line, I would recommend this book if you want to feel a nice nostalgic flow of the authors life through his time in the west that will be sure to have you laugh at times and feel a connection to a place and time that feels like home. RIP Tucker and thank you Justin for sharing your sense of adventure with the world.

Treasure, excitement, a new adventure! I absolutely love this idea, its inspiration & each weekend is now a new treasure adventure. I love how the book is heartfelt with warm stories yet continues an amazing treasure adventure! Let the hunt begin! Game on!

It’s 2 am and I should be sleeping but oh no I am reading this charming book full of memories and characters. Family and friends and shop keepers, all characters in their own way. As I’m falling in love with all of these moments I just can’t stop smiling. My checks are going to be hurting before I’m done. This book appeared at the right moment in my life. I don’t usually read, but I read this cover to cover. It was well written, and I related to many chapters. I took up his treasure hunt offer, which turned out to be a challenge I needed. Since reading the book, my life has brightened. I recommend this book to anyone feeling lost in life's chaos. Das erste Buch das ich 3 mal gekauft habe. Und ich lese nicht viele Bücher. Ich bin gespannt auf die Auflösung, die ich hoffentlich noch erleben darf. Auf grund dieses Buches bin ich nach West Amerika gereist und habe selbst gesucht. "Noch" habe ich nichts gefunden. Aber das Buch ist genial und Inspiriert zum eigenen Abenteuer.

Let’s be honest, this was purchased to help with the treasure hunt. However, it’s surprising good for a guy that no one really knew about until the Netflix show debuted. Excellent marketing skills to sell a book so that deserves an additional star in itself.
