Handy and safe for Teflon surfaces and plastic

I love this size spatula. One was given to me free for attending a kitchen party. I melted it by accident on the stove burner. When I found this item on Amazon I quickly put it in my cart and have loved it since the day i purchased it. Of all my spatulas, and I have many, this is the one I use the most. Fair warning though, the handle will melt so don't leave it resting on the side of a hot pan.

This thing is so handy. I thought I'd only use it for eggs, but a whole of the other tasks I was using larger flippers for are even easier with this little guy. Had some concerns about microplastics and heat, but I did some research. The heat rating on this is high enough, and my cooking generally low enough temp, that there is not a lot of risk of microplastic shedding. But yes, there is some. This is nylon rather than silicon, which would be a littler better in that department in theory. But a lot depends on how you use it. This thing is pretty tough. If you're not using it to scrape gunk off of pans, it's really not letting go of much plastic, I don't think. Silicone tends to be a little softer, so, though it resists heat better, is it shedding microplastics due to its softness? I really don't know.

This is exactly what I needed to remove brownies from the baking pan. I'm sure I'll be using it for other things too!

I purchased this narrow spatula to fit a trio lasagna pan. The width of it is fine but I was surprised at how short it is. I didn’t pay attention to the dimensions which I should have. It works fine for removing brownies or other cakes from something like an 8x8 or 9x9 pan but it won’t work very well for removing lasagna like I intended it for. Is good for non-stick surfaces.

I use this multiple times a week. It is well made and thick enough to use for something a little heavier than a cookie.

Bought this at the ending of January 2026, so I had it for a little over a month now. And it works as intended. I use it for brownies, cut pieces of cake and pie and it does the job. It is small which what I wanted since the pieces are somewhat small too. It's made of nylon so I know the front edge of the blade will degrade over time but that's okay. To me all Nylon tips start to degrade depending on how hard you push it against something solid. Since I'm trying not to cut anything with it I'm hoping it'll last for a long while. It is thick so it is sturdy and the handle is somewhat long.

Got this to help break the bad habit of using our flexible metal spatula on our Teflon pans. It wasn't easy finding a non-scratch spatula that's not floppy silicone or rock-hard plastic. But this is it! One warning: Note that it is only 8.75 inches long! That's quite small, but for us it's fine.

Yes, it was smaller than I thought it would be, but it has turned out to be very handy! That probably qualifies as two surprises. I often reach for it instead of the larger ones. Another great find on Amazon!

These OXO soft utensils are great for my electric fry pan. Tough enough to do the job but don't scratch up my pan. For those without a machine they are easy to hand wash.
